The school itself is located in a 19th century villa in the middle of the Golden Triangle of Art - a fictional triangle in the center of Madrid, housing three major art museums: the Prado Museum, the Reina Sofia Museum and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum. The building looks more like a museum than language school: with an impressive stone staircase and stained glass work throughout the school. This is certainly a unique study location. At Tandem, they attach great value to providing high quality Spanish lessons. Our qualified teachers do everything they can to help you in any way possible, by giving you individual guidance with your personal study plan. Amazing Madrid school with friendly staff and great lessons

"Tandem in Madrid is an amazing school. I spent two weeks there studying Spanish and made really good progress. The professors are highly prepared, engaging, friendly and accommodating. Classes are compact and the materials are geared to your level. Tandem also offers an after school program including guided museum visits, films and other events. What I enjoyed most was the genuine friendliness of the professors and staff. Tandem is located in the heart of Madrid, near the Prado and the Thyssen museums and near the Parque Retiro. If you need a place to stay, the school can organize reasonably priced hostels nearby or accommodation with a host family. I highly recommend Tandem, it is an excellent school. ¡Viva Tandem!"

Engaging teachers and amazing excursions in Madrid

"Tandem School is everything you would want in a Spanish program, the instructors are compassionate and patient. They listen to what you want to learn and adjust their program accordingly. The excursions that were arranged through Tandem were amazing and all of the guides were exceptionally knowledgeable and interesting. In particular, Sonia, the art guide, is so interesting and enthusiastic about the subjects and narrowed down our art tours so they captured the essence of each place we visited. Alessandro was also very knowledgeable about the subjects and explained everything incredibly clearly. Augusto knows the city of Madrid inside and out and answered all our questions with a deep understanding of the topics. Reme, my instructor, could not be more kind, understanding and a patient and excellent teacher. I grew so fond of her, I consider her a friend. I could not recommend this school more for any program that is offered!"
