2. Scope
2.1 These general terms and conditions apply to all agreements concluded concerning language trips, language courses, accommodations, transfers, and activity programs offered by Extralingo.
2.2 These terms do not apply to services or programs outside the aforementioned offerings unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.
2.3 Deviations from these terms are only binding if expressly confirmed in writing by Extralingo.
3. Definitions
3.1 In these general terms and conditions, the following terms are defined as:
'Reiziger' (Traveler): the person entering into an agreement with Extralingo.
'Taalschool' (Language School): the institution where the language course or related services are provided.
'Contract': the agreement between the traveler and Extralingo.
'Overmacht' (Force Majeure): unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, war, pandemics, etc.
'Reissom' (Travel Sum): the total costs for the booked language course, including accommodation, transfers, and any additional services as specified in the booking confirmation.
4. Registration and Conclusion of the Agreement
4.1 Registrations for language courses, accommodations, and other related services are made exclusively via Extralingo' online platform.
4.2 The traveler can register by accepting a provided quotation and thereby also agrees to these general terms and conditions.
4.3 A registration by the traveler constitutes a binding offer to participate in the booked service. The agreement is concluded upon confirmation by Extralingo, which is sent to the traveler by email.
4.4 The registration and booking are personal and non-transferable without prior written consent from Extralingo.
5. Services
5.1 In addition to language trips, Extralingo also offers accommodations, transfers, activity programs, and insurance, as described on Extralingo' website and in the specific booking confirmation.
5.2 Extralingo acts solely as a seller of the offered language trips and language courses. Extralingo is not the organizer of the trip but provides as accurate, objective, and transparent an overview of all language schools as possible.
5.3 The specific scope of services is determined based on the individual agreement as specified in the booking confirmation.
5.4 Extralingo strives to offer the highest quality of service but cannot be held liable for any shortcomings beyond its control, such as the actions or omissions of third parties.
5.5 Additional terms may apply for specific programs. These will be specified in the booking confirmation.
6. Prices and Payments
6.1 Down payments and remaining payments are made according to the terms of the language school. These terms are clearly stated in the quotation and visible on the booking confirmation.
6.2 Costs for booking changes depend on the terms of the language school and will be clearly stated in the quotation and booking confirmation.
6.3 In case of cancellation by the student, any outstanding payment obligations remain in force. If the student is entitled to a refund upon cancellation, the transaction fees associated with the chosen payment method will be deducted from the refund amount.
6.4 Extralingo reserves the right to correct typographical errors in price offers when it is evident that the offered price is incorrect.
6.5 Extralingo guarantees that the same course cannot be booked elsewhere at a lower price. If the student finds a lower price for the same course, the price difference will be refunded. For more information, see https://lingodays.com/price-match-guarantee.
7. Cancellation and Change Policy
7.1 Cancellations:
Cancellations of language courses and accommodations follow the terms of the language school. These terms are clearly stated in the quotation.
Cancellations must be submitted via the booking confirmation in the student's personal account on Extralingo' platform.
7.2 Changes:
Changes to the booking follow the terms of the language school and will be clearly stated in the quotation and booking confirmation.

7.3 Cancellations due to Force Majeure:
If a booking must be canceled due to force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, war, pandemics), this does not automatically entitle the traveler to a refund of the paid travel sum.
Extralingo' liability in case of force majeure is limited to the price of the booking amount. Examples of force majeure include, but are not limited to, natural disasters, war, terrorist attacks, pandemics, and government measures that make travel impossible.
8. Responsibilities of the Traveler
8.1 The traveler is responsible for having all necessary travel documents, such as a valid ID, visa if applicable, and health documents.
8.2 The traveler must adhere to the rules and regulations of the language school. This also includes complying with the behavioral guidelines and other directives set by the language school.
8.3 Unless otherwise stated, lessons that do not take place due to official holidays will not be rescheduled or reimbursed. It is the traveler's responsibility to be aware of the local holidays and their impact on the lessons.
9. Liability
9.1 Extralingo' liability for damage suffered by the traveler is in all cases limited to the amount of the travel sum.
9.2 Extralingo is not liable for indirect damage, consequential damage, or lost profits.
9.3 Extralingo is not liable for damage resulting from the traveler's failure to timely obtain necessary travel documents, such as passports, visas, or other required documents.
9.4 All services and products obtained are the responsibility of the language school. Extralingo cannot be held responsible for shortcomings in the execution of services by the language school.
10. Complaints Procedure
10.1 Complaints about the service must first be submitted to the language school. If the complaint is not satisfactorily resolved, the student can file a complaint via the Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/main/
10.2 Notification of Deficiencies:
If the student receives inadequate care during the language course, they must immediately notify the school management and request rectification. Failure to do so will void the right to rectification. It is advisable to obtain written confirmation of the complaint.

11. Cancellation of the Contract by the Language School or Extralingo
11.1 In case of typographical, printing, or calculation errors, the language school or Extralingo reserves the right to cancel the contract. The student will be notified as soon as possible and is entitled to a refund of the amounts already paid.
12. Data Protection
12.1 Personal data will be processed in accordance with Extralingo' privacy policy, which can be found on the Extralingo website.
12.2 Extralingo will only use the traveler's personal data as necessary for the execution of the agreement and in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations on data protection.
13. Applicable Law
13.1 All agreements and these general terms and conditions are governed by Dutch law.
13.2 Any disputes arising from or related to the agreement will be exclusively submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
14. Copyright
14.1 All content on the Extralingo website, including but not limited to texts, images, logos, and software, is protected by copyright. Use of this content without prior written consent from Extralingo is not permitted.
14.2 Infringement of copyright may result in legal action and claims for damages by Extralingo.
