Our story
The schools were great.
Booking them was not.
The idea for Extralingo began on a language trip. The trip itself was everything we had hoped for. Arranging it was harder than it should have been.
School information was scattered, courses were hard to compare, and reaching someone across borders was rarely simple. Paying often meant an international bank transfer, and booking a room could mean handing over a cash deposit on arrival.
The problem was never the schools. Many offered excellent teaching and deeply personal experiences. The problem was everything around them.
Extralingo was founded in 2017 to offer a simpler way to find and book a language course abroad. What began as a better booking experience has grown into a platform that connects students with certified schools in more than 70 destinations.
And that mission hasn't changed: making this experience accessible to everyone who wants to book a language trip.
