It is located in in an old monastery in a narrow Spanish street making the experience of language lessons idyllic. Don Quijote is a fairly large school with 17 classrooms, making it easy to create a large international circle of friends. The school has its own cosy café where students from all over the world can come together to eat, drink and relax between classes. The cosy interior of the school with parquet floors and many plants gives it a homely, comfortable feeling. The school is a five minute walk from the main square in the heart of Salamanca, Plaza Mayor. All sights in the city are within walking distance as well as nice restaurants, bars and shops. Was a great school and the teachers, students, accommodation (host family via the school), and the city were amazing.
I did the super-intensive which was a really good mix of lesson types. The schedule of classes is a bit brutal, but for two weeks (or even 1-2 months I would think) it was perfectly manageable and a good way to learn a lot quickly.
My only caution is that Salamanca was a very hot city (23/6-05/07 2025) and the heat really dictated my day. I think the whole of Spain was fairly hot over this period, and I was lucky to be mostly in air conditioned classrooms.
All in all I would happily study again at Don Quijote and consider my study trip a great success.
High-level school, excellent teaching skills of the teachers and friendliness of all the staff. The lessons were very interesting and fruitful. The cultural excursions are well-organised and in-depth by trained teachers. Great location of the school, within walking distance of the main monuments of the city.
I love salamanca and I had my best life experience in don Quijote school ! What an amaizing school ! Studying in an old convent with all these art and with the excellence teachers made my stay a dream . I attended a while ago to learn Spanish as a beginner. They were able to foster my passion for Spanish and now I’m fluent. Don Quijote is hands down the best language school in Spain let alone Salamanca. The location is also ideal. In the old part of the city a short walk from the main plaza. It also has a cute little cafe attached for a quick snack between or after your lesson. One of the best teachers is Ana. She was amazing 🤩 . Her lessons were super easy to learn from but contained high quality content.

I am a Spanish teacher from Hong Kong, and last month, I brought 20 primary school students to Salamanca to attend a one-week course at Don Quijote. I wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful experience we had.
The language school offered an array of cultural activities, including a day tour to Segovia, a city tour of Salamanca, a Tapas dinner, and a visit to the Convento San Esteban. Both the students and my colleagues thoroughly enjoyed these activities.
Additionally, the teachers and staff were incredibly helpful, providing us with all kinds of support and arrangements. The student center in Plaza Mayor also recommended many spots and activities for us to enjoy during our stay.
In my opinion, Salamanca is the best place to study Spanish, and Don Quijote is the best language school. Principal Isabel was so kind, telling me that they
could tailor-make activities for us. I am looking forward to organizing next year’s trip for our students to Salamanca and Don Quijote.

A deposit of € 250 / $ 300 is non-refundable under any circumstances. Cancellations less than 4 weeks before the start date will incur registration fees plus the cost of 2 weeks of the program. Cancellations up to 4 weeks before the start date: € 500 / $ 600 cancellation fee. Within 4 weeks: the full amount will be charged. Cancellations within 2 weeks or 'no show': the cost of 4 weeks of the program plus any booked extras will be charged unless a cancellation guarantee has been purchased. Special conditions apply for cancellations after the invitation letter for a student visa application has been sent. All refunds are subject to a 9% administrative fee (minimum € 75 / $ 90). For overpaid amounts, a minimum administrative fee of € 35 / $ 40 will be charged. No refund for the amount paid for the course/accommodation once the course has started. Changes before the arrival date: € 100 / $ 120 administrative fee. After arrival: € 100 / $ 120. Changes to start dates within 2 weeks before the arrival date: last-minute fees (2 weeks program cost plus any booked extras). Vacation/course interruption: maximum of 1 week per 4-week block, with full accommodation costs remaining applicable. Other interruptions: € 100 / $ 120, with full housing payment required.
