About TCL Tropical Coast Languages

Language school TCL Tropical Coast Languages is located in the middle of the village of Almuñecar and is a great place to learn Spanish in a relaxed environment. The school building is located a short walk from the beautiful beach, close to a pleasant area full of real Spanish eateries, small shops and bars where you can eat tapas. Opposite the school there is a park where numerous types of palm trees can be found.

The building has five bright classrooms with air conditioning and beautiful views of plants and trees. Everything you need to learn Spanish is provided. About 350 students attend the school every year. The classes are small and the atmosphere is friendly and personal. The teachers, who speak Spanish as their native language, are all very involved.

With over twenty years of teaching experience, an accreditation from Instituto Cervantes and excellent reviews, TCL Tropical Coast Languages is an excellent choice for students from all over the world.

"I attended the school for two weeks and was truly impressed. The classes are very small, which allows you to receive a lot of individual attention from your teacher, and every student is taken into account. The teachers at the school are extremely friendly and teach exceptionally well. Especially Fifi—she’s amazing!!! But it’s not just the teachers; everyone who works there is very kind and enthusiastic. The atmosphere at the school is so relaxed and fun that, even though I usually don’t enjoy going to school, I went to this one with a smile every morning. The extracurricular activities were also very enjoyable! I hope I can come back next year. Lots of love to all of you!!!!❤️"

"Our group of six retired Irish people spent a five day Spanish intensive course of three hours per day in the first week in September, 2025 in TCL Language School in Almuñécar. All of us felt that the teaching was excellent and that our teacher, Paula, was very helpful and dealt very efficiently with any questions that we had. We felt that the lessons were pitched at an appropriate level for us and each of us felt that we benefited greatly from the course. During the preparation for the course all of the staff at the school that I dealt with were unfailingly helpful and I would particularly like to mention Tania who was highly efficient and answered all of my questions promptly and accurately. The transport and accommodation arrangements made for us worked very well and the staff were more than generous in providing advice on places to eat and so forth. The school facilitated a guided tour of the Alhambra for our group and this was the highlight of the week for many of us. This tour took place on a Saturday and we were accompanied by the Principal of the school, Felipe and one of the teachers, Desiree, and their presence was very useful to us. Our group (which included three retired teachers) would unhesitatingly recommend this school to friends or family who would like to learn Spanish in a pleasant environment and all of us would be perfectly happy to return to this school for classes in future.
