Language school TCL Tropical Coast Languages

Our group of six retired Irish people spent a five day Spanish intensive course of three hours per day in the first week in September, 2025 in TCL Language School in Almuñécar. All of us felt that the teaching was excellent and that our teacher, Paula, was very helpful and dealt very efficiently with any questions that we had. We felt that the lessons were pitched at an appropriate level for us and each of us felt that we benefited greatly from the course.

During the preparation for the course all of the staff at the school that I dealt with were unfailingly helpful and I would particularly like to mention Tania who was highly efficient and answered all of my questions promptly and accurately. The transport and accommodation arrangements made for us worked very well and the staff were more than generous in providing advice on places to eat and so forth. The school facilitated a guided tour of the Alhambra for our group and this was the highlight of the week for many of us. This tour took place on a Saturday and we were accompanied by the Principal of the school, Felipe and one of the teachers, Desiree, and their presence was very useful to us.

Our group (which included three retired teachers) would unhesitatingly recommend this school to friends or family who would like to learn Spanish in a pleasant environment and all of us would be perfectly happy to return to this school for classes in future. So overall we were more than happy with TCL Language School in Almuñécar

My A1 level class is being taught by Deseri. She is a fantastic teacher! And speaks Spanish 💯 of the time but slowly and succinctly so we can hear the pronunciation. Even if you don’t know the vocabulary, she demonstrates the action while speaking …for example, emphasizing walking while using the word “caminar” (to walk in Spanish) We use tools to match the Spanish word w the image and practice reading out loud. She is patient and takes time to ensure all students understand (I.e.:) when we use the verb Estar or Ser! As a middle age, adult learner of a foreign language - I give the school and my instructor 8 ⭐️! Great value for the money. Now go sign up!!

Such lovely people there, incredibly warm and friendly everyone. I had an urgency, and they immediately accommodated me, despite being super busy that day. Thank you so much, I will recommend this place to anyone who may be interested in learning Spanish!!!

A well-organised school, everyone who works here is very nice and welcoming. We are a group of Italian teachers on an Erasmus+ mobility in Almuñecar and we had the most wonderful time here, especially thanks to the fun activities the school organised for us. We took a deep dive into the Spanish culture and we had the occasion to broaden our horizons. We can’t be more thankful!

My son took an intensive class this summer, he was so happy to go there and learned a lot. Really nice and professional staff and teachers - big recommendation.

I attended the school for two weeks and was truly impressed. The classes are very small, which allows you to receive a lot of individual attention from your teacher, and every student is taken into account. The teachers at the school are extremely friendly and teach exceptionally well. Especially Fifi—she’s amazing!!! But it’s not just the teachers; everyone who works there is very kind and enthusiastic. The atmosphere at the school is so relaxed and fun that, even though I usually don’t enjoy going to school, I went to this one with a smile every morning. The extracurricular activities were also very enjoyable! I hope I can come back next year. Lots of love to all of you!!!!❤️

I truly only have good things to say about this place! Not only is the school an amazing opportunity to learn Spanish, but also a way into the Andalusian culture. Staying here, and learning Spanish from them was abselutly amazing. You have the freedom to choose how many hours you would like to study and they will help you figure out your Spanish level. The school both speak Spanish and English, so even if you are a beginner in Spanish you shouldn't worry about any communication problems.

The school is a rather small school with an amazing team of teachers, who understands what it means to teach. Not only are they wonderful teachers but also great people, and they have truly become a little family for me down here.

If you want to lean Spanish, meet amazing people, and find your own little community down here in the heart of Andalucia, your should study here at TCL LANGUAGE!

The teacher Fifi was very professional, patient and helpful. I only attended school for three weeks which isn’t enough to have a good command of Spanish, however , I will be returning to TCL to continue.

Daughter (16) did one week of intensive course. Great school and great experience! Super-professional, constructive and friendly staff. Lots of varied social activities in the evenings irganized by the school. Warmly recommended to anyone who would like to improve their Spanish and spend some quality time in charming Almuñécar 😊

This language school is excellent and the teacher are devoted and flexible. The quality of the courses is professional and with these courses you can improve quickly your Spanish. I definitely recommend this school.

Whenever I go to Almunecar for a few weeks I join a group of more “mature” people who are now living in Spain and want to take their Spanish to a higher level. I enjoy these classes so much, not only for the quality of teaching, the kindness of all staff members but because I have made friends and contacts amongst the people in my group who always make me feel welcome. It is the most positive thing I have done and I cannot wait to return I cannot recommend TCL highly enough. If you want to learn/improve your Spanish this is the college for you

We really enjoyed our Spanish lessons at Tropical Coast Languages. Lessons were really interesting, effective and fun. Our teacher, Fifi, was very welcoming, patient and skilful. Our fluency definitely improved while we were there. Classrooms and building are very comfortable, light and pleasant. Staff are great, so friendly and helpful. Other students were delightful too.

I had a wonderful time at TCL. The teachers were excellent. The lessons were interesting and fun .

All the staff are so kind, patient and friendly and all the teachers I have met are really excellent and my Spanish is improving gradually.

The classrooms are modern, comfortable, well equipped and air-conditioned.

Our children ages 9 and 12 have been taking individual lessons with Lucía. She is an excellent teacher and the kids have progressed quickly in their Spanish. They both love Lucía and look forward to classes with her! All the staff is super friendly and helpful. Our experience has been wonderful and we highly recommend TLC!
