Language school Accord

I was there for one week in December 2025 just to work on my french fluency. The instructor was great. I definitely felt like my comfort in speaking improved. The only complaint I have is that there was one student in our class who clearly did not know much French at all, and the instructor spent a lot of time correcting her basic pronunciation (for example, the student kept pronouncing the "ent" in "ils parlent" which is something you should have learned in basic French) and grammar mistakes, and I felt like it was a little bit of a waste for the rest of us. At some point she should have been moved to a more basic class. But otherwise I thought the class was great and I would recommend it.

I attended a nine-week French course at Accord Language School in Paris, and I was extremely satisfied with the experience. I started from an A1 level and, thanks to the intensity of the program and the competence of the teachers, I managed to reach a B1 level in a very short time. The progress I noticed was truly remarkable, both in grammar and in everyday communication.

The teachers are highly skilled, professional, and at the same time very kind: every lesson is well-structured and engaging. I also really appreciated their helpful and attentive approach; they are always ready to assist with any request or difficulty, creating a positive and motivating learning environment.

The course is complete and varied: it covers grammar, conversation, listening comprehension, and written expression, allowing you to develop all language skills in a balanced way.

Overall, I believe that Accord Language School is a very high-quality school. I would genuinely recommend it to anyone who wants to learn or improve their French: the experience was extremely positive and the results speak for themselves.

I attended classes for a month and enjoyed every minute. Kind, thorough, and patient teachers. Like minded students who made class a joy to learn French. Highly recommend and it was actually fun and great place to learn.

Spent an excellent week with advanced level afternoon classes at Accord. The pedagogical structure was perfect - a solid base of new subject matter each day with grammar and vocabulary thoughtfully interspersed. Class size was perfect to foster discussion and I appreciated that students were from many different countries. Agnes was excellent professor encouraging students to stay in French and it was clear from returning students proficiency the effectiveness of the approach. Merci et à la prochaine!

I've been studying French for a long time and decided I needed an immersion course in order to advance. I found Accord online and booked a week of classes, just mornings as I wanted to be free in the afternoons to see Paris. It was a fabulous experience. All of my advance communications with the school were easy and clear. Their administrative staff is very responsive. Through a written exam, they placed me in a course which turned out to be the perfect level--challenging but manageable. My instructor, Jacqueline was absolutely wonderful. She is possibly one of the most skilled classroom instructors I have ever studied with. She led the class at a pace that required rapt attention, she seemed to understand and respond to the needs of each student intuitively, and was able to seize "teachable moments" and turn them into timely and succinct mini-lessons within the lesson. I feel very fortunate to have found Accord and, in particular, Jacqueline. I hope to return soon!

I've attended this school for 3 months with 354 hours in total. In my opinion, it's good for 1/2 weeks of French but not for people who is interested in intensive course where one progress fast. Let me break down the pros and cons.

Cons 1: it's important to note that they change professors every 1/2 weeks. And it's two different professors for the morning and afternoon class. With this arrangement, it's almost impossible to repeat something multiple times. Personally I find this very ineffective for my learning.

2: Although they do offer super intensive course at 30+ hours/week, it takes 240 hours of morning class to finish B1 level vs 144 hours with AF. And let me remind you, the afternoon class hours don't count here. So after 9 weeks of 29 hours per week of B1 classes (261 h in total), I still cannot progress to B2 because I was told I'm not there yet. I didn't miss any class during these 3 months and I cannot be more serious about my learning. What does it tell you about the learning outcome? I used to believe the more hours you spent, the more you'll get. But with this experience, I've started to appreciate the importance of "class planning"in an organized way to achieve better outcome. Perhaps I've spent simply too much time repeating things? Had I chosen Alliance Francaise, would I be in B2 now? One will never find out, but I now have serious doubts about my choice.

3: I'm not happy that they are a bit secretive about how long it takes to finish one level. Before I signed up, I asked about what levels can be achieved with 3 months, and they simply replied that the level depends on individual efforts. It seems to me that this practice hides a bit the stark hours difference between them and other schools, who publish the hours needed per level directly in the website.

Pros: 1: all the teachers I've met are competent and easy to get along with. 2: the school is proactive to resolve complaints. Actions were taken to minimize the repetition after I've complaint about repeating the same grammar 3 times within 2 weeks. 3: The students are very diverse with origins from around the world. It's a mini opportunity to "travel" without travelling.

I have been attending the Accord Language School in Paris for about 7 months and my experience has been outstanding. The teachers are exceptional! They don’t just follow a book, but bring the language to life with practical lessons and real-world insights you simply cannot find in textbooks. Their passion for teaching makes learning both enjoyable and effective.

The classes are very well structured, striking a great balance between reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and conversation practice. What impressed me most is the emphasis on communication. I feel more confident speaking French every day.

The local management team is also excellent. They are approachable, highly efficient, and genuinely invested in helping each student succeed. Whenever I had a question or needed support, they were quick to respond and very understanding.

Accord creates a welcoming and motivating environment that makes learning French not only effective but also fun. I highly recommend this school to anyone serious about improving their French, whether for personal, academic, or professional reasons.

I had the opportunity to study French at Accord School Paris, a well-known language school recognized for its modern and interactive teaching methods. The environment was friendly and motivating, and the teachers successfully combined theoretical lessons with practical activities that helped me improve my communication skills. The courses were dynamic and tailored to my needs, significantly contributing to my progress in understanding and speaking French. This experience was not only educational but also cultural, allowing me to discover Parisian life and gain confidence in expressing myself in French.

I had a great experience in Accord language school this July 2025, I spent 2 weeks studying French in group A2.2 and the program was really enjoyable! Our teacher even took us to the museum. My group mates were very friendly and we practiced speaking a lot. Can’t wait to be back! It’s also vital to mention that location is perfect, the school is very close to the park and to all of the most significant sites

I only had time to join the ACCORD school for one week in June. On day 1, I was placed in the third week of the A2 course with Agnes, which was much too difficult. I found her speaking to be much too fast, and her explanation of the content and directions to be too brief. Even others in the class who were more at that level expressed difficulty with the speed of the content and the lack of actual instruction. Other than that, I thought she was pleasant but wasn't able to see that I was struggling and provide appropriate support.

The next morning, I realized that I was mis-leveled and switched to week 1 of the A2 course with Laurent, which was much better. He is very approachable and reads the students well, stopping to explain things in a new way when students don't understand. We did a combination of watching and explaining short videos, having fun with role play in different situations, and even playing exquisite corpse and explaining our monsters to the other groups, which made learning fun. I still feel like it was a bit beyond my level and would suggest that ACCORD update their pre-test to level students more appropriately, as I feel like I lost 1.5 days in the wrong class.

I took two afternoon sessions, one on grammar and one on oral language. The grammar lesson with Laurent was great and helped to clear up some misunderstandings for me, which helped me better understand the language. I didn't find the oral language course as helpful as the teacher just presented some material for us to discuss, but she didn't really provide much instruction or support for oral language production. This could have also just been beyond my level, so I wasn't ready for that type of conversation yet (sharing opinions and explaining French metaphors).

The school itself is comfortable. It is in a great location near the Eiffel Tower and has a coffee machine, which was nice during the breaks. I would have appreciated the staff checking in a bit more to see how things were going throughout the week. Overall, I would try it again, but would make sure that I felt like I was in the right class from day 1 to build on my foundation and continue to improve.

Between May 12 and May 23, I attended a two-week intensive French course (daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) at Accord École de Langues in the 15th arrondissement of Paris.

The school's central location is excellent, and the bright, well-ventilated classrooms provide a very good learning environment.

I was completely satisfied both with the organization of the language stay by the school management and with the course itself. The management team was always helpful, constructive, and solution-oriented, ensuring that support was readily available for any questions or concerns.

The language instruction was varied, practical, and delivered by highly committed instructors. In addition, the international and mixed-age group of students greatly enriched the learning experience and contributed to an open and friendly atmosphere.

I can wholeheartedly recommend the school and will look back very fondly on this educational experience.

I had the best time learning the French language at ACCORD. The professors I had were remarkable for their skills in teaching. They were also very patient and encouraging, given that I started in a beginner level. The Admin Staff were kind and accommodating. Everything considered, I am delighted with my experience and would definitely recommend ACCORD.

I joined Accord in Paris just to get a first introduction to the French language, but I ended up enjoying the experience way more than I expected! The teachers I had were incredibly well-prepared, engaging, and passionate about what they do. They really sparked my interest and made learning French feel exciting and accessible.

Even though I was only there for a short time(2 weeks), I left feeling much more confident and motivated to keep practicing and improving. I’m

really looking forward to continuing my journey with the language, and I would definitely go back to Accord without hesitation.

Had a nice experience and learned a lot in few days!! To be recommended - as well as the ibis eiffel tower Hotel, where I stayed and from where I could go by food to the school without need of additional transport and food costs👍😉

Studying at Accord surpassed my expectations. I was visiting the school for only a week, but felt right at home. The classes are focused a lot on speaking and learning about French and other students culture. I would highly recommend this school!

I had the pleasure of attending Accord's French classes for eight weeks. The teachers were passionate and the staff was always on hand and ready to help. I left with a solid foundation of the French language and new friends from all over the world.

Excellent school for students of all levels. I spent 3 weeks and what stands out the most to me was the quality of the people you get to spend time with...from teachers, admin staff and fellow students, everyone was great. My only regret is not staying longer!

I was at Accord for a 4-week intensive course (35 hours/week, morning and afternoon) and really loved my time here! I took the absolute beginners' course as I hadn't learnt any French before and was very happy with the progress I made- I came with 2 French words and left being able to do a (very basic) conversation in French. The teachers were awesome and always tried to teach in a friendly and motivating way. We were able to practice lots of speech which I enjoyed, but we obviously also worked a lot on grammar, writing, reading and listening. In the morning classes, we were between 4 and 8 students. In the afternoon classes, we were between 4 and 14 students. The atmosphere was lovely and I felt I could ask all the questions I needed and wanted to. Organization was smooth and the location close to the Eiffel Tower and the metro stations Dupleix and La Motte Piquet-Grenelle is fantastic. All in all, I would definitely recommend Accord language school!

Highly recommend Accord. I studied here for 4 weeks in Jan 2025 and had a great experience. The professors are all lovely to work with- they are kind, engaging and patient with all students and really seem invested in your success. The teaching methods vary to keep students’ attention; they’ve really figured out how to make learning the language feel fun and rewarding.

I just completed my second set of classes at the Accord School. Both times were fabulous. The instructors were all excellent on both occasions. They all kept the classes extremely engaged via using different types of media to teach and were very patient with the students. Highly recommend!

This is my second time attending Accord. The first time was 25 years ago! It was a great school then and it's still a great school today. The teachers have so much patience, the lessons are educational but also fun - the day goes by so fast!

I would especially recommend the intensive 35 hours a week program.

I loved the classes (suggest going down a level than where you test into). I signed up for one week, loved it, signed up for 2 more, got sick and they were very helpful accommodating me so I could get all the classes I paid for done. When I return, I will sign up with them again.

The experience has been really satisfying. The school is very well situated, the staff and the teachers are really good and the methodology that they follow to teach french gives incredible results. I've been two weeks and I've learned a lot! I couldn't recommend it more. 5 stars from Palencia, Spain!

I just spent a week at this Accord French Language School. The staff was professional and friendly. The classes in the afternoons were small and I was able to review material for the morning sessions. I would fully recommend this school.

I had an excellent experience with Accord School. I easily registered and was placed in a class that seemed slightly out of my reach and they told me I could drop down one level. My instructor, Isabelle, was great. I learned a lot and she was very encouraging about my skills. The classes were small (about 10) and truly immersive - Isabelle spoke very few words in English but it was easy to understand the overall concepts she was explaining. During my one week in Paris, I know that I increased my comprehension and oral skills. I plan to return to Paris regularly and will take classes through Accord each time.

I very much enjoyed my two weeks in this language school! Teacher was very inspiring, accommodating and supportive, all in all a very good French teacher who was able to provide practical examples and explanations to both language and cultural topics.

Based on the entry test I was allocated in a group that felt very suitable for my level, while I also felt sufficiently challenged throughout the course. Learning materials provided were good and I preferred not having to purchase yet another book for learning French.

Teacher was very good in creating an open learning atmosphere, 'a safe' and also inclusive environment for learning. I also liked being in the group with people of many nationalities and age groups.

School was centrally located and in my view price of the course was very reasonable and in line with other schools' offering.

The only disadvantage were the facilities: Some of the rooms were not very well air-conditioned and got stuffy with a group sitting in for longer period a time.

But overall this was not a big deal for me and I am already planning my next course in this school!

I studied at ACCORD for two weeks and following lessons at this school improved so much my french skills! The school is organised in different levels (A2, B1, B2 etc.) and each student is in the better class for them. The location is really good: metro-station is near and the Tour Eiffel is reachable in less than 10 minutes. Plus, the staff is kind and always ready to help you; I’m a foreign student and I got help with my accomodation, that I found only thanks to them. My experience in Paris has been great! You should definitely give a chance to ACCORD School if you’re looking for an improvement with your french.

I was on holiday in Paris and also enrolled on the 2 week E intensive course - 7 hours a day, Monday to Friday.

I had a fantastic time and met wonderful people in my learning experience. My teachers Jacqueline, Olivia and Edilberto were very knowledgeable, friendly and respectful of the students as individuals (I, for example, have got some hearing loss, and this was adjusted for in the teaching). My French benefited hugely in the fortnight there. Olivia in particular made us stand up and move in the class as we undertook communicative activities - thus there was lots of student talking time, which I, as an English teacher, appreciated no end. I would like to see more of this - sometimes a student would remain silent for a long time unless called upon, whilst others spoke a lot of English - unecessarily.

During this period, I gained inestimable confidence at Accord in using French in the real world eg in the Post Office, Shops and Restaurants- eschewing English - susprising even myself!

As regards improvements: the classrooms that I was in could get uncomfortable owing to the summer heat - this was a recurrent problem throughout - the lessons would often get disrupted.

The chairs in the classroom are those with a folding writing tablet' variety - for me, their desk space was too small - and being left-handed, a problem - so I'd be using the next chair's tablet to my left, if vacant.

I did an intensive French course at Accord this summer and had a great time. All the teachers are very professional and knowledgable. What I loved most about my experience there was that they were teaching us real French, the Parisian, colloquial French that you cannot find in books. So many linguistic elements that I learned I wouldn't have been able to pick up elsewhere and I am very grateful for that. I didn't want to leave and I am already planning on coming back soon. Also the location of the school right next to the Eiffel Tower cannot be beaten, I had lunch with a view multiple times ;) I definitely recommend this school for your next language adventure in Paris! I had an amazing experience at the school! I was there for two weeks and really improved my french. I had almost all of my classes with Laurent who was an amazing teacher. We did different types of activities, a lot of interactions and games that really helped with learning and we always had fun whilst we learned a lot. I’m very happy with my experience and would definitely recommend the school to others.

I had the pleasure to attend the Accord French Language School in Paris. I had a wonderful experience. It was very easy to communicate with the reception and after I completed my placement test I was very pleased with the group I was placed in. I found it tailored to my level of French, while still challenging enough that I learned new things every day. The class groups are small, and everyone gets a chance to talk and participate in class in French which I found to be very helpful. The teachers are incredible. They are highly motivated, engaged and kind and come up with fun activities to teach you French. If you choose to do afternoon classes you can choose whether you want to focus on grammar or speaking skills which I thought was nice to have this flexibility. The school is also located in a great area- very close to the Eiffel tower, while being on a more quiet street surrounded by many boulangeries and cafes. I would recommend this school to absolutely anyone as the level of teaching is very high and professional. The cherry on top was that the school is very flexible, you can begin your course at the start of any week and you can book everything online in a very straightforward fashion. A 10/10 for me.

I attended this school for a week with my wife. Although I was in a group with people who had already been at the school for several weeks, I somehow managed to understand just enough to follow the lessons and get a good experience out of the stay — even with my limited "Duolingo" listening skills.

The teachers are very nice native French speakers and do their best to adapt to the different abilities of the participants. The school is close to Champs de Mars and the Eiffel Tower.

The only negative thing I have to say is that the chairs are quite uncomfortable for people over the age.of 20 and that there were never any towels (or working hand dryers) in the toilets.

I have studied the french language in Accord for the fourth year. I am very happy every time to be there: very interesting effective and actual program, which develops all parts of your language skills; very professional teaches; very helpful, kind and friendly personnel; very comfortabel location in the middle of Paris; very kind supportive co-workers which do your study process comfortabel easy and pleasant. This year I come to Accord school to improve my french again. I am waiting my trip to Paris and my lessons in the school with impatience! It is everytime a kind of feast for me: to go to Paris, to study the beautiful french language in my lovely Accord school, where I will be met with smiles and joyfulness! I recommend this school for everybody - does not depends on your language level, your background or your age: everybody is more than welcome, everybody will speak french, everybody will have a great pleasure to be there! I have studied different languages in different countries: the dutch, finnish, english, german, spanish, french, swedish languages - and based on my personal experience I can say that Accord school is the best from the best!

I spent three weeks at accord and think it’s fair to say that the overall experience wasn’t bad!

However, there’s room for improvement and I would like to give some constructive criticism:

1. The welcoming experience was rather unpleasant. The agency via which I booked the course stated that I should first register at the school’s office. There, the girl sitting to the right of the door to gave me a bewildered look, laughed a me when I said „hi, I’m xyz, I’m new“ and only after a long pause proceeded to help me find my classroom. Until today, I haven’t found out what was supposed to be so funny. All in all, my first impression of the school was a slightly unprofessional one. I later talked to this office member again and my personal overall impression did not improve.

2. Most classrooms don’t have direct daylight (at least 3 don’t have any daylight at all) and I wish that had been advertised on the school’s website at the time. Plus, in summer, the AC was used to sparsely that I almost felt like fainting every now and then. Even when it was turned on after all, the next day, the struggle for ‚AC rights’ began all over again.

3. The lesson quality varied greatly from teacher to teacher. I liked Laurent‘s and Thierry‘s lessons but there was a female teacher who’s teaching style was honestly so discouraging and who left me feeling really low in confidence when it comes to my French skills (whereas it wasn’t the same with my other teachers). As someone, who‘s doing French as a hobby, I wished all of the teachers saw themselves as service providers rather than high school teachers and us students as customers rather than high school students.

I spent a week at Accord at the beginning of December doing a 32 hour intensive course and it was a fab experience. The teachers were motivating and very helpful. It was a great way to be exposed to a lot of spoken French within a friendly and welcoming environment.

I spend 5 weeks at the school and started with the complete beginners class. At the end of my stay I was able to achieve the level A2. I liked all of my teachers, especially Laurent. The people in my class changed slightly over the weeks and I meet people from many different countries. However, there were always a majority of German people.

The teachers used very good teaching techniques and I liked their material.

The school also has a vending machine with coffee which I really liked :)

Another thing I liked was how helpful the administration was, they were always there for me and the other students if we needed anything.

The only thing I disliked was that the rooms sometimes did not have windows and the air got really sticky and hot.

Otherwise I am very happy with my stay at Accord and would definitely recommend the school.

What an incredible experience this was. Tough, but so gratifying I learned so much. Our teacher Agnes was so wonderful and patient.

Good school. I needed to improve my French and I had a spare week so I booked a 20h intensive course. Amazing location. The booking was easy and the communication with the staff was great. The class and the teacher were good but I wished that it was a little bit more interactive and I believe that if there was a mix of approaches, the class would have been amazing!

My son and I attended Accord French language school for several summers and we absolutely loved it. The teachers are excellent and the classes are fun and engaging.

Overall this is a good school for learning French.

I selected this particular one because they assist you in finding lodging with a French family (which I wanted primarily for the experience of conversing at meals). I am glad I did stay with a family (a single woman actually) for a month because there I had ample opportunity to practice speaking French.

I also enrolled in afternoon "conversation" classes, but they weren't really conversation classes like I have experienced elsewhere, but rather opportunities to learn lists of vocabulary for a particular topic.

I made the most of these courses and have those list of words to review on my own -- but it was really a disguise for having another "traditional" French class. (Though with one teacher, I learned many subtle nuances of French culture. I found that to be valuable since learning a language is also about learning the cultural nuances, including their self-delusional beliefs, beliefs that exist in all cultures.)

Overall the teachers were very well trained, but I must add, the last teacher who I thankfully had for only one class was incredibly arrogant. I heard him say under his breath that we probably didn't understand any of what he was talking about.

I am a person who has had 4 ear surgeries in order to be able to hear -- I never told any of the teachers this because I caught on very quickly that they are not very accommodating or empathetic to anyone who is different -- that I heard this person say this in French meant that he spoke loudly enough for someone like me to hear. Needless to say, hearing these words (and feeling his attitude) was rather disconcerting. As the lesson continued, I recognized how he asked trick questions. It seemed that he was more interested in "catching us" not know rules (or be confused by random rules drawn out of a hat) rather than assist us in improving our conversation skills.

I will continue my studies on my own, whether I will return to this school or not . . . I really don't know. Perhaps it's a French characteristic for French teachers to be arrogant? I don't know; but do know that I didn't experience that at all at the school I attended years ago in Lyon.

I will also seek out a native French speaker who is kind to assist me with pronunciation. Language schools apparently no longer offer language labs where students are able to hear themselves speak (with the use of headphones) while instructors listen giving guidance and instruction. That is how I learned to pronounce German correctly; nothing like that exists for French language learning, as far as I know.

I wish you well with whichever school you may choose.

P.S. I’ve since learned some practical things regarding how the French really speak, and I’ve heard and read their shortening of words in TV shows and movies I’ve watched! Amazing. This is the right school if you want to pass some kind of test but not for really learning how to speak like the French or understand them when they’re speaking. But there may not really be a school like that anywhere since old habits die hard.

One absolute plus about going to a language school like this is the friendships you can make with other students.

After a couple of weeks on the Accord Langes school, I have already made a huge progress in my French, both in writing, speaking and hearing. Good professors, nice environment and an excellent administration. I am very content!

I’ve just finished 3 weeks at Accord and it was really good. As a 17 year old, I found the course awesome, but there were people of all ages and nationalities who I think really enjoyed it too. The lessons are interesting and varied, the teachers kind and funny and I felt that I improved a lot over a short amount of time. The classes are a good size, big enough it feels like you are able to meet new people, but small enough that you are able to practice speaking a lot and have the teacher help you. As well as this, it’s right next to the Eiffel Tower and lots of wonderful restaurants so an amazing part of Paris to be in. I’d definitely recommend for anyone.

I completed the residential language course with Accord Languages in Paris and it was an incredible experience. The setting was perfect for immersion and the teachers were knowledgeable, passionate and made learning French a delight. The daily classes were well structured and covered a wide range of topics, from grammar to cultural immersion activities. Everyone there were very welcoming and kind, which made the experience that much better. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking to improve their French skills and have a memorable time in France.

I did a week long intensive course and the experience was excellent. They did a good job placing me at the right level based on my test. The instructor (Reda) was great at explaining concepts and also engaging the class. Even in the span of a week it was quite well thought out how the various concepts were all connected at the end. I would definitely take another course here when I have time.

I have just completed a weeks intense 20 hour course at Accord.

It has exceeded my expectations. The passion , knowledge, patience of Agnes. Deserves a medal .

I was a little apprehensive before the start as I’m in my 50’s and it’s been 34 years since speaking / learning French.

The course moves fast but is robust fun and I came away feeling so pleased with myself . I can highly recommend this lovely school.

I have finished a couple of days ago a 3 weeks course at the Accord School, and I highly recommend it! Both the teachers I had classes with- Reda and Clara- were really good: professional, inventive, smart; and I have reasons to believe that also the other professors are as good! The best way to learn French rapidly!
