Language school Newdeal - KLF

Spent two weeks at NewDeal to take B2 classes, afternoon workshops + private classes (intensive option).

I was able to talk to Loralyn via email and videocall beforehand. She was responsive to making sure all my accommodations & enrolment were processed well before arriving.

Very impressed by the professionalism of all the staff and the lessons prepared. You get a useful journal with grammar concepts when you start. Each class begins with the teacher giving you a worksheet that you will go over in the morning. Concepts are relevant and useful and teachers are happy to answer any questions. They typically send you a pdf version with the corrections and topics discussed in class via email which is helpful too. I also enjoyed the wine tasting workshop (a 6€ extra or something like that) where we got to combine bordeaux’s wine culture & learn vocab along the way. I met new people casually in between breaks and lunch time but I wish there were more social events to speak french to each other with folks from different levels. Maybe it would’ve helped me speak more french outside of class!

Shout out to Pauline (b2), Nirina (b2 workshop), Amandine (b2 workshop) & Emmanuelle (my private tutor) for being great professors. If you have them as profs, you are in for a great time!

I loved my two weeks at Newdeal Institute of French in Bordeaux. The facility is very nice, the rooms were very comfortable. The class sizes were about 8-10 people. The profs were great. Everyone who works here is so friendly and helpful. I would gladly come back!!! Great experience. Thanks to everyone who made it so special.

I had an excellent experience at Newdeal Institut in Bordeaux. I am an American who came to improve my French from a B2 level and ended up advancing to C1. The instructors are exceptional, always prepared, friendly but in command of the class. The building is new, clean and spacious. The audiovisual is solid (always worked!) and the location is easy to get to. Highly recommend.

I spent two weeks studying at Newdeal Institute in Bordeaux and will be the first to say it is a top notch program. I was able to improve my skills and am looking forward to returning for more advanced courses within the next few months.

I was able to arrange a private lesson here at the last minute when I discovered I had some free time for a week. I spent 7.5 hours with Jérémy, and he was awesome. Really listened to my needs and helped me advance quickly. I've been to 7 different language schools in France, and this was one of my best experiences.

I arrived in May of 2015 and was immediately impressed with the location and the quality of the staff. Everyone was there to ensure my stay was a positive and friendly learning experience which it truly was. The communication via email re: all of the questions I had prior to my trip were answered promptly. There was no doubt that I was dealing with a professional organization. The faculty and fellow students made my experience a very, very positive one. My "home-stay" was absolutely fantastic. I could not have had a better experience. Sylvie is a great host !! This learning environment exceeded my expectations.

I have a great experience at Newdeal School! It’s impressive that I have been able to learn so much French in a short time. The supportive environment and good teachers seem to make a big difference. Good luck with progressing to the B and B1 levels—you’re doing great!

Last June, our group of 30 students had the opportunity to participate in a study holiday in Bordeaux, organized by this language school. Everything was carefully planned, well-organized and tailored to meet the needs and requests of the group.

The teachers were highly competent and attentive to each student's needs. Their lessons were both engaging and interesting, designed specifically for different skill levels.

Our students stayed with host families who were incredibly welcoming and inclusive and provided great opportunities to practice their French outside of the classroom.

In addition to the language lessons, the school organized engaging afternoon activities and exciting excursions, giving students the chance to explore Bordeaux and its surroundings.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a well-run and enriching language learning program.

During October - November, 2023, my wife and I had the pleasure of studying conversational French in a program at the Institut. The program was three hours each weekday for six weeks, and was part of a Road Scholar Stay & Study immersion in Bordeaux. Both Jan and I are in our '70s, with little or no formal education in the language.

I cannot recommend the Institut too highly!

The professeures were capable, professional, courteous and patient. In particular Marion Le Bail, who taught our class of four students - all American adults ranging in age from 59 to 79 years!

Marion speaks excellent English, too.

The Institut is also located conveniently two tram stops from the Gironde River, on its right bank.

For those who want to learn to speak French, the Institut is an excellent choice!

A very good French school. The location is convenient, school facilities are good, staff and teachers are nice! The school premises is very French atmosphere. I particularly like the common area with coffee machine on the ground floor, and I missed the staircase leading up to the second floor very much! Hope i can go back sometime in future.
