We had a great time staying here in Southbourne for three weeks. All staffs here are very friendly and helpful. Most host families are walking distance to the school which is very convenient and also beautiful beach is just nearby.

Southbourne School English is nestled in one of the most affluent areas of Bournemouth, just a stone's throw from the beautiful beaches accessible via the charming Fisherman’s Walk. It’s also conveniently close to Southbourne High Street, bustling with delightful cafes and local shops, and near Hengistbury Head, a local nature reserve. The school itself is well-organized and offers excellent learning opportunities tailored to meet students' needs, hosting a range of engaging activities. I have consistently found the students to be polite and friendly, and in my opinion, this is truly the finest English Language School in Bournemouth.

Our sons attended two weeks of tuition only at the Southbourne School of English and truly enjoyed their time there. They benefited greatly from the lessons, learned a lot, and felt very comfortable in the school environment. They also had the opportunity to make nice contacts with other students. The team at the Southbourne School of English is exceptionally friendly, professional, and supportive. We are very grateful for their dedication and would gladly recommend the school to others.

Working with Southbourne School of English is a good way of meeting new people from different parts of the world and different experiences. They support you as a host, pay quickly and always keep you up to date. I have been hosting for 16+ years and have no plans to stop. Super way to fund meals out, holidays or supporting your own family at university. I have made a number of lifelong friends who come to stay year on year.

I have hosted for Southbourne School of English for many years. It is my experience that Students are happy studying at the school and always comment that the school is a nice place to be. As a host I have always had a good relationships with staff. The school is in a good location and has a positive atmosphere. There are good amenities close by.

I have hosted for many years and can truly say this is a fabulous school. Well organised, caring and supportive of both its students and host families. An excellent location offering a variety of local outings, and excursions to other cities of interest to foreign visitors. The students I have hosted have been delighted with the standard of education and the environment in which this has taken place. The staff are all extremely approachable, polite and helpful, 10/10 all round.

I have hosted with Southbourne School of English for many, many years and I wouldn’t host for anyone else! It is a wonderful and inclusive school, with friendly and helpful staff. I consistently have the best students with them and I look forward to many more years working side by side to ensure all the students have a great time at school and at our home!

The best experience of my life with people I didn't know. The group was very close, all the staff and students were incredible. The farewell was painful, but I was proud to have made such close friends.

I've studied English here in summer 1998 with my son Nikita, who was 14 years old. This year my grandson is coming to study English. The best school, teachers and host families. Lots of activities, fun and games all year around.

I’ve made a lot of progress, but I’ve also grown as a person. The school allowed me to discover new cultures and understand different mindsets. It enriched me far beyond just the language.

I’ve made friends from three continents who have become true friends, and I’ll visit them in their countries.

I was also fortunate to be with an exceptional host family, who has become like a second family to me, and it will be very difficult to leave them here.

The teachers, the management, the academic, accommodation, welfare and office team, the cooks, and the activity leader are not only highly skilled, but also incredibly kind, caring, and always ready to help us based on our needs. They truly want us to succeed and are always there for the students, which has greatly helped me progress. I appreciate them both as professionals and as human beings. They create a wonderful atmosphere.

I’ve really made a lot of progress in English! Before, my English wasn’t very good, but now I can have a conversation with anyone. Now, I want to speak English all the time and I’m loving the language more and more.

I’ve become so attached to so many people here, and saying goodbye is not easy. I’m going to miss you all so much! Thank you for everything! ❤️

Very nice teachers who are always ready to help you

This pic taken probably in late 70s/early 80s, my father former DOS, I have had name change, he was Brown. A great place to study, and work as well. I was a teenager when my dad worked there, I'm now a pensioner 😅 I do recall a Mr Galina, I think his first name was Italo, he was the boss and a super cool guy. Pleased to see the place still going strong.

Studied there for 2 weeks, had an amazing experience with the school itself and the host family! The teachers are very nice and polite, if i had a chance, i would definitely go there again! Thank you Southbourne!

I go here only as a coach driver and all the staff are always incredibly welcoming, warm , friendly and helpful at all times which makes my job so much easier.

I like the school and my host family all the teachers in the school had experience at lest 15 years teaching the school is friendly really I felt like home but they are very strict with morning attendance and it's not allowed drinks in the classrooms just water

The school start 9:15 every lesson an hour and 15 minutes break until 12:45

The an hour break and afternoon lessons start.

If I would like to study English course again definitely I will choose this school.

The Southbourne School is a small school. The teachers are friendly. I had fun and learned a lot. And it's good to meet other people from other countries. The school offered travel. I am very happy, I have booked this school. best regards Christine

It's been a whale of time. The school has given all the opporunities for effective studying.The teachers and the staff have been very friendly, polite. During morning and afternoon classes we have mastered our language skills as well as we've broadened our mind. The atmosphere in the school has contributed to studying, interacting with other students( who have actually been very friedly, easy going and good-humoured) The beach( where we have spent enough time , admiring the view) facilitated our cross-cultural communication. My host family's been also worthy! Now there is a burning desire to come back, at least for one more week!
