One of the best kept secrets of Andalusia is Cádiz. This city, located on a small peninsula with a vast bay, is the oldest inhabited city in Western Europe. You will find an atmospheric old town with narrow streets, nice squares with terraces and beautiful historic buildings. Cádiz is known for its particularly hospitable inhabitants who always laugh and spontaneously start dancing flamenco on small squares. The city has several beautiful beaches of which the most atmospheric one is probably Playa de la Caleta, located in the old town and overlooking the marina.

I work as a Spanish teacher in the UK and every year I take a group of teenage students to Gadir to learn the language and the culture of Spain and Cadiz in particular. The staff is really friendly and experienced and the management will always go the extra mile to ensure everything goes to perfection. The prices are really competitive! I can't recommend Gadir enough!! |

I came to study Spanish in Gardir back in 2010. My experience with the school was so positive and the teachers and everybody were so helpful, I have returned at least 10 times over the last 6 years. The school is not very big therefore it provides an opportunity to maintain a close relationship with the students. It is situated in the new city, a few minutes from the sea but is very close to the old city. Over those years, I have developed a very good relationship with the school. This year, I had been back in March for a three weeks course and am returning in October for four weeks even though I have a good grasp of an adequate level of spoken and written Spanish, I really like the contact with the school and the students. I would recommend this school for everybody who would like the idea of studying in school which provides a warm environment, good quality of teaching and approachable staff. :) |

I studied here at the intensive level 35h/week for two weeks. For preparation, I had followed the Herber audio course. At the end, I could explain my job at home - in Spanish with some cold sweat in my part and a lot of patient support from my teachers who happened to be a history professor from the local university. How come? |
