At Language school Escuela de Idiomas Nerja you don't just learn Spanish; you live it. Located in the heart of the pleasant village of Nerja, you can enjoy the warmth and hospitality, which makes you feel immediately at home to start learning Spanish. The traditional Andalusian school building houses 16 spacious, bright classrooms, all equipped with modern facilities. And outside you will find a beautiful and cozy garden, where you can enjoy the sun during breaks. Moreover, it is sometimes used for outdoor lessons.

The school was founded in 1980 and therefore has more than forty years of experience. The teachers are highly qualified, enthusiastic and committed to ensuring that everyone feels at home and makes rapid progress with the Spanish language.

In addition to the courses, the school offers a wide range of cultural activities and excursions. These include wine tastings, tapas tours, kayaking, salsa or flamenco lessons, paella cooking and much more. After the lessons you can enjoy the beautiful view from the Balcón de Europa, you can go snorkeling at Playa de Burriana or you can simply enjoy 'la playa' in a few minutes.

First of all, Nerja is beautiful and idyllic. The housing accommodations provided by the school are secure and well maintained. The staff is exceptional. The diverse group of students, many of whom speak multiple languages, was inspiring. I was fortunate enough to be able to spend a month immersing myself in the language and the culture. I do not yet understand every word, but I am now comfortable to continue my in-class studies without having support in my first language - and for me, that is pretty incredible.
