At Language school Escuela de Idiomas Nerja you don't just learn Spanish; you live it. Located in the heart of the pleasant village of Nerja, you can enjoy the warmth and hospitality, which makes you feel immediately at home to start learning Spanish. The traditional Andalusian school building houses 16 spacious, bright classrooms, all equipped with modern facilities. And outside you will find a beautiful and cozy garden, where you can enjoy the sun during breaks. Moreover, it is sometimes used for outdoor lessons.

The school was founded in 1980 and therefore has more than forty years of experience. The teachers are highly qualified, enthusiastic and committed to ensuring that everyone feels at home and makes rapid progress with the Spanish language.

In addition to the courses, the school offers a wide range of cultural activities and excursions. These include wine tastings, tapas tours, kayaking, salsa or flamenco lessons, paella cooking and much more. After the lessons you can enjoy the beautiful view from the Balcón de Europa, you can go snorkeling at Playa de Burriana or you can simply enjoy 'la playa' in a few minutes.

I have been coming to Nerja for many years now and always I book a week of conversation at the school to improve my Spanish.Every member of the staff at the school is delightful and most helpful. I certainly would never have reached the level in the language which I have now without the help and instruction of the teaching staff over the years.

I have just finished a week of conversation with Francisco which was superb not only for subjects discussed and the exchange of ideas on various themes but also for instruction on how I could improve my use of the language.I am looking forward to a further week when I return in late September.Whatever your standard in Spanish is,the school is excellent and encouraging in making language learning a joy!

If you are looking for a comprehensive Spanish language course, this school is highly recommended. The professor was excellent:engaging, creative yet structured The school itself was well organized: clean, orderly and professional creating a calm learning environment. The other students appeared motivated, interested and courteous. My husband and I opted for 3 hours a week for 3 weeks. We are seriously considering returning next year for the same approach because it was such a quality experience.
