How lessons work at ACE English

Classes here run small, averaging 11 students and never rising above 15, so lessons stay conversational and interactive. Group lessons run between 08:00 and 18:45, depending on your course and level. General English 30 combines 20 core lessons with 10 additional afternoon speaking lessons. Some afternoon blocks run from 11:45 to 15:00, others from 15:30 to 18:45, with morning and afternoon sessions mixed according to level. Your level is worked out through an online test and a short oral conversation before you arrive, and your timetable is grouped by level and assigned on your first day.

Most students are adults in their twenties and thirties, with smaller numbers of younger and older learners rounding out the mix. Students cross paths outside the timetable through the school's fixed weekly activity programme, its welcome party, and the terrace, lounge and library where people tend to gather between classes. More than 14 days before the course start: A fee applies of €145.00, plus bank charges and a visa administration fee where applicable.
Less than 14 days before the course start: Charges apply for 1 week's course fees, the applicable accommodation cancellation fee, registration fee, accommodation reservation fee, bank charges, and a visa administration fee where applicable.
After the course has started: No refunds will be given.
No refunds on any course will be provided if a student's study visa is rejected, revoked, or cancelled due to the student's absenteeism from school and the minimum lesson attendance required, or any other student-related issue.
