In the center of Lyon, where the cultural and festive life of the city takes place, lies language school Alpadia. In a beautiful and stately 19th-century building, located on Lyons 'peninsula' or 'Presqu'île' that lies between the rivers Rhône and Saône. The school, overlooking the Rhône, has spacious, light classrooms with high ceilings and a family kind of atmosphere. There are plants, beautiful parquet floors and many high windows and historic details such as ornate ceilings and a marble fireplace. A nice option to study French. The building is pretty clean and spacious. The administration and teachers are helpful and friendly. Also I liked the way they organise the learning process with feedback every week.
Also nice that they have a C1 group.
The only possible drawback are extracurricular activities that are pretty lacking and not inspiring. Still as the main aim is to study French I do not find it really... A nice option to study French. The building is pretty clean and spacious. The administration and teachers are helpful and friendly. Also I liked the way they organise the learning process with feedback every week.

I spent three weeks here trying to improve my French. Although I have already brought a lot of knowledge (C1), I wanted to use it actively in discussions. I was not disappointed by the Alpadia language school. Already on the first day I noticed that the staff is very friendly and helpful, which makes it possible to discuss without restrictions in class. In written and oral assignments, the... I had a wonderful experience with this school. The teachers are friendly and helpful and there is a wide range of activites to discover Lyon and make new friends. I attended Alpadia for 2 weeks so this review is for a relatively short stay. My teacher (Gosia) is great - highly recommended. She pushes you to learn but is also understanding and can work at the pace you're prepared to work at, especially for me a beginner in the French language! The students and staff are friendly and caring, and the staff (especially Juliette) is there whenever I needed support. I highly recommend the school... I attended Alpadia for 2 weeks so this review is for a relatively short stay. My teacher (Gosia) is great - highly recommended. She pushes you to learn but is also understanding and can work at the pace you're prepared to work at, especially for me a beginner in the French language! I've been attending Alpadia Lyon for 3 months from September to November 2021and I can definitely tell I had a wonderful time and an amazing experience!
I was immediately welcomed warmly and the teaching staff was always kind and ready to help in case of need, the lessons were never boring but always interesting and I found myself really well.
I'll probably never forget this experience and I'd wish it would have lasted... I've been attending Alpadia Lyon for 3 months from September to November 2021and I can definitely tell I had a wonderful time and an amazing experience!
I was immediately welcomed warmly and the teaching staff was always kind and ready to help in case of need, the lessons were never boring but always interesting and I found myself really well.
I'll probably never forget this experience and I'd wish it would have lasted longer, so I definitely recommend it!

Great school - the teachers are dedicated and really want us to make progress. The classes are both interesting and instructive. Every week, several leisure activities are proposed by the school and the ones I have participated in were a lot of fun. Last but not least, the employees of the school took good care of us and always did their best to help us out if we had a problem.
