Don Quijote Barcelona

• All program fees must be paid at least 4 weeks before arrival. Otherwise, don Quijote may cancel the student's booking.
• For any cancellation, a fee applies of €250/$300.
• For cancellations made less than 4 weeks before the start date, the student will be charged the enrollment fee plus the cost of 2 weeks of the program, including course and/or accommodation.
• For cancellations less than 2 weeks before the program, or in case of no-show for any reason, the student will be charged the cost of 4 weeks of the program, including course and/or accommodation, plus all extras in the confirmed booking, unless the Cancellation Guarantee was purchased and paid.
• For Spanish + Volunteer programs, other Special programs at IEG schools in Spain or Latin America, and programs at partner schools in Latin America, cancellations more than 4 weeks before the start date incur a €500/$600 cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 4 weeks before the start date will be charged at the full program price.
• All refunds are subject to a 9% administration fee, with a minimum of €75/$90. A fee applies of €250/$300 in addition to this administration fee. Refunds for overpayment are subject to a minimum €35/$40 administration fee.
• Cancellation requests before arrival must be submitted in writing by email to infocentral@donquijote.org or by certified mail to the Madrid head office. Cancellations submitted by other means will not be accepted.
• Once the program has started, no refund will be made for the program cost, unless the Cancellation Guarantee was purchased.
• For courses in Spain and Latin America, one free change of course, school, accommodation, or destination is allowed before the program starts. After the program starts, two free changes are allowed with at least 2 weeks' notice. Otherwise, a €150/$175 fee applies for Spain and Mexico courses, subject to availability, and any price difference must be paid.
• Start-date changes made less than 2 weeks before arrival are subject to a last-minute fee. The student will be charged the cost of 2 weeks of the program, including course and/or accommodation, plus all extras in the confirmed booking.
• For courses of 12 weeks or more, one free week off is available for every 4 weeks of study. Requests must be made at least 2 weeks in advance, before Monday of the previous week. In other cases, taking a course break incurs a €150/$175 fee.
• For Summer Camps, Junior, Leadership, and Young Adult programs, a €850 penalty applies to cancellations in the last 4 weeks before arrival. No refunds are granted from 2 weeks before arrival or at any time after arrival.
• Students expelled for a serious disciplinary offence or repeated bad behavior will not receive a refund for the program or accommodation.

Cancellation Guarantee:

• The Cancellation Guarantee costs €85/$100 per week, or €250 per week for Summer Camp, Leadership, Junior, and Young Adult programs. It is non-refundable and must be paid in full upon booking.
• It covers cancellations from enrollment until the end of the program. Students may cancel all or part of the program for any reason without justification, and the cost of course, accommodation, and extras will be refunded.
• If cancellation occurs during the stay, 100% of the unused part of the program will be refunded.
• Cancellations not communicated before Monday of the previous week will be charged for 1 week of course and accommodation.
• A €250/$300 administration fee applies to all refunds under the Cancellation Guarantee.
• To cancel a language program under the guarantee, notice must be sent by email to seg@iegrupo.com. The official cancellation date is the day after the email is sent, and funds will be returned within 30 days of that date.

• For any cancellation of a program that includes accommodation, a fee applies of €250/$300.

• If a student is dissatisfied with assigned accommodation for a justifiable reason, they may move to another accommodation of the same type, with up to 3 changes allowed. The student must notify the person in charge on the first day of the program.
• Students expelled for a serious disciplinary offence or repeated bad behavior will not receive a refund for the program or accommodation.

Cancellation Guarantee:

• European Union citizens do not need a visa to enter Spain.
• Students from other countries should obtain visa requirement information from their nearest Spanish Embassy or Consulate.
• Enrollment certificates can only be signed, sealed, and sent by authorized don Quijote staff. The certificates serve only as confirmation of a course and cover only the initially contracted course period.
• After the total program cost has been paid, don Quijote will send, free of charge upon request, confirmation of the chosen Spanish program and an invoice for the total program cost, including course and accommodation.
• If original documents are urgently required, the student will be charged the cost of express mail.
• If a student visa is rejected, don Quijote will refund the program cost minus €350/$400 and any additional basic costs. The student must provide formal proof, consisting of the original rejection document, to receive this refund.
• If the original visa-rejection document is not received, the student will be charged 100% of the program cost.
• Visa-rejection refunds are subject to a 9% charge, with a minimum of €75/$90.
• If the visa is not obtained in time for the reserved program and expected arrival date and the student needs to delay or cancel arrival, the student will be charged 100% of the first 2 weeks plus all applicable cancellation fees.
• Students who obtained their visa through don Quijote may purchase the Cancellation Guarantee. Their cancellation will only be considered after they provide proof that they have left the host country. In these cases, a 9% charge applies to the refund amount, plus a €75/$90 administration fee and €35/$40 bank charges.
