We spent 2 weeks, my kids of different ages (boy of 15 girl 8 yo, boy in Barcelona city, girl in Castelldefels) gave glowing reviews- and they both don't typically enjoy summer camps that much. Both enjoyed the *lack* of contrived activities, chants and the relative freedom. We were pleasantly surprised, because of the mixed reviews. I believe bad reviews stem from misunderstanding of what this camp offers. Firstly I think American parents ought to know the operation is run pretty loosely. And it's not an immersion program more like a camp enriched with Spanish lessons. There's been a bit of learning, but don't expect miracles. The city camp for older kids provide plenty of independent roaming which I thought was wonderful, and the shuttle experience was a bit less organized than I thought but all in all no complaints. I really recommend. We'd come back.
