Don Quijote is perhaps one of the most visually appealing language schools in Salamanca. It is located in in an old monastery in a narrow Spanish street making the experience of language lessons idyllic. Don Quijote is a fairly large school with 17 classrooms, making it easy to create a large international circle of friends. The school has its own cosy café where students from all over the world can come together to eat, drink and relax between classes. The cosy interior of the school with parquet floors and many plants gives it a homely, comfortable feeling. The school is a five minute walk from the main square in the heart of Salamanca, Plaza Mayor. All sights in the city are within walking distance as well as nice restaurants, bars and shops. The school is professionally organized and has multiple locations throughout Spain and South America, which ensures that the lessons are of good quality.

I have been studying at Don Quijote Salamanca for just under one month now, and I could not recommend it more! The teachers are wonderful and accommodate to all levels of Spanish from complete beginner (A1), to advanced (C1&C2). There is the option to take the DELE exams, but it is not compulsory to do so. The language school offered an array of cultural activities, including a day tour to Segovia, a city tour of Salamanca, a Tapas dinner, and a visit to the Convento San Esteban. Both the students and my colleagues thoroughly enjoyed these activities.

Additionally, the teachers and staff were incredibly helpful, providing us with all kinds of support and arrangements. The student center in Plaza Mayor also recommended many spots and activities for us to enjoy during our stay.

In my opinion, Salamanca is the best place to study Spanish, and Don Quijote is the best language school. Principal Isabel was so kind, telling me that they
could tailor-make activities for us. I am looking forward to organizing next year’s trip for our students to Salamanca and Don Quijote.

Thank you once again for making our visit so memorable.
