About the school

In the Salamanca district, in the center of Madrid, you will find the growing school AIL. The school is on the first floor of a modern building in a busy street in the luxury district of Goya - named after the Spanish master painter Francisco de Goya, whose works are often found in Spanish museums. Around the corner you will find the Retiro park, one of the largest parks in Madrid, which lends itself perfectly to escaping the hustle and bustle of the city center. In the school itself there is a Chill Out Room with lounge sofas where you can relax, learn and study between classes. Every teacher at the school has Spanish as their mother tongue, so they teach with ease and without any accent. The school attaches great value to the structure and quality of the lessons, which are therefore always well prepared and interactive.

I completed an intensive course last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was assigned to a level B2 class, which seemed right. My two main teachers were friendly, enthusiastic and responded well to our needs. They explained exercises well, but also allowed us to deviate from the tasks for interesting discussion on related topics. My private lesson teachers were similarly good. Lastly the optional activities were well led and usually very interesting. I also found the the admin staff very pleasant and efficient, and generally felt well-looked after. Even with only 5 days I believe my fluency and understanding of spoken Spanish improved significantly. I can't think of anything to grumble about !

AIL Madrid is a very good school to learn Spanish. I started from the very first level (A1) and after 8 short months, I was able to reach the B1 level. The teachers they provide are very good at what they do, very professional and also very kind. The school also offers after class cultural activities where you can have an in-depth experience of the city, with the help of the tour guides/professors the school provides. Online lectures are also offered if you ever feel like you need to work on certain aspects of your Spanish learning journey.

If you ever find yourself in Madrid, looking to learn Spanish and to know more about Spanish culture, I highly recommend AIL Madrid.

I was with AIL Madrid for a month and studied B2 level here. It was a very memorable experience. Fabian is the most excellent professor I have had until now. He has a very good way of explaining things, be it grammar or vocabulary or the games we played which helped us memorize Spanish words. I must say that studying here gave me a lot of confidence with regard to my speaking skills.
The school staff is very kind, helpful and friendly, particularly Eva who helped me a lot with my confidence in the initial days. She is way too sweet and helpful.
Also, Varun who was very supportive, helped me prior as well as throughout my stay in Madrid and the school. I am very grateful to him as it couldn't have been so smooth without him.
I stayed with a host family, which was perfect and never had any problems during my stay. It felt like home with the host Rosa. Also, the after-school activities are great to be a part of. Made some really great friends in school. It is the best place to learn Spanish in Madrid. I wouldn't think twice to visit it again. Hopefully soon!! Thank you for everything.

Hello,
I attended AIL Madrid in March 2022 in the Intensive course for the whole month of March. I think my experience was extremely good. I started in the A1 class and both Sonia and Nacho did a great job in making conversation in class and between students flow very smoothly which is amazing considering everything was taught in Spanish. The only criticism I have is about the accommodation. (I just wish I could have seen pictures of inside the apartment before I came.) But other than that it was an amazing experience and I would definitely do more classes at AIL.

I attended the semi intensive course at AIL Madrid for about 8 months and I enjoyed it very much! From the start, the administrative team, as well as the teachers made me feel very welcome and taken care of- they were very helpful with anything I needed. The atmosphere of the classes is quite relaxed, however I still learned loads and improved my Spanish majorly during my time there. I managed to successfully complete 3 levels and am now a quite confident Spanish speaker. Another thing to mention are the activities outside of the classes, for example the paseos, which allow you to meet new people, practice your Spanish, as well as to explore everything Madrid has to offer. All in all, I really loved my time at AIL and I would definitely recommend it! :)
