Learn Spanish at ELE ALEPH Spanish language school
In the vibrant city centre of Valencia, located in a historic 1920s building, is the Ele Aleph language school. Almost all the sights that Valencia has to offer are within walking distance of this school. Mercat Central for example, a large central market full of stalls with fresh food, as well as the old city gates, are only a short walk away. With many restaurants and shops on your doorstep, the school is in the perfect city location. Unlike most other language schools, the school is run by the owners, who are very passionate about their students’ learning. Couple that with the fact that the school is rather small - about 25 students per week - and this creates a cosy, familiar atmosphere. In addition, all teachers are professionally trained, so that all lessons are guaranteed to be of the highest quality.- Historical building

I did stay at an accommodation through the school. It was very clean and close to the school (~5 min walk). The owner was very kind and he brought me a fan once it started to get hot outside. Emails from Ele Aleph provided all the information I needed in a clear way, so I never had to reach out with questions.
Highly recommend if you’re searching for a language school!

We took lessons over a two year period and the school were very flexible, always fitting around our plans, whether it was appointments or travel.
Our teacher, Roser, was fabulous! Not only did she teach us Spanish but... Having retired to Valencia with very little knowledge of the Spanish language, we decided to take private lessons (just me and my husband with a teacher) at ELE Aleph and we are so glad we did.
We took lessons over a two year period and the school were very flexible, always fitting around our plans, whether it was appointments or travel.
Our teacher, Roser, was fabulous! Not only did she teach us Spanish but helped us with some of the practicalities of living here. She was always very patient with us and made our lessons fun. We always looked forward to going to school which is a great feeling as I was initially very nervous about learning a new language at 60!
Thank you ELEAleph

1. They have a good website that was very clear, and the entrance test was very helpful to ensure that I was placed in an appropriate class - I found the level of instruction was just about... I spent two weeks at the school, four hours per day, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The team at ELE Aleph was such a pleasure to work with, from start to finish! Here are some of the highlights that I experienced:
1. They have a good website that was very clear, and the entrance test was very helpful to ensure that I was placed in an appropriate class - I found the level of instruction was just about right for me - challenging but not overwhelming at all.
2. The teachers were so enthusiastic and friendly, and the curriculum was a great mixture of a textbook with exercises, and a lot of in class games, exercises and a variety of other techniques. I had been worried that four hours a day would become boring or overwhelming, and instead I was surprised at how fast the time went.
3. Each day, the Intensive+ class was 2 hours in the morning, from 10-12 AM, then a break for 30 minutes (to get a quick lunch), then continuing from 12:30 to 2 PM. It felt like an ideal amount to really immerse ourselves in Spanish, but wasn't exhausting.
4. The immersion level was very good - virtually no English was spoken during the entire two weeks, and it really got me thinking, talking and listening in Spanish, without any internal "translation" happening.
5. Finally, a shout-out to Miriam, Juan and especially Daniel, our instructors for the time I was there. They each had their own individual style, but all of them were super helpful and encouraging, and kept the games and exercises really fun and interesting, while keeping us moving forward in absorbing the new material.
Overall, this far exceeded my expectations - I had been taking Spanish here in the US for about two years, with 1.5 hours/week and homework, but this 40 hours of instruction in just two weeks really moved my level of Spanish way up. I met a number of local Valencianos and made some wonderful new friends, entirely using the Spanish I had available - one hour conversations were no problem!
I really can't imagine a better experience, and am already planning another trip to continue my studies - and Valencia is a wonderful city to enjoy it in - lots of food, music, theater and other culture, but not as crowded as Barcelona.

I hope to come to this place again.
