Located in an idyllic street in the modern Eixample district, is an impressive 19th century house and the home of Academia Contacto language school. Inside, the school has been renovated in beautiful Spanish and Andalusian style, with ornate stained glass and colourful tiled floors. The bright classrooms have been refurbished in cheerful colours and decorated in a modern style, giving the school a sunny feeling, whilst still retaining its historic grandeur. Students make full use of its cosy garden for al-fresco lunches and evening paella dinners. The school is close to many public transport links - within ten minutes’ walk you are in the centre of Barcelona and within twenty you can have your feet in the sand of Barcelona’s famous beach. Academia Contacto has several schools in Spain and pride themselves on delivering professional and high quality teaching.

I stayed 3 months at Linguaschools and had the best experience in Barcelona. The school itself is beautiful, the professors are great, and I met great people through the school. They also had fun activities planned each week and weekend which I enjoyed very much

I found the experience at Linguaschool transformational.
The teachers and staff are superb. I never felt self conscious in class and felt confident the staff would do their best for me.
Beyond that, the sense of learning and community here changed my whole Barcelona experience from being an outside tourist to feeling a sense of belonging which impacted my whole stay.
The friends will stay with me long... I found the experience at Linguaschool transformational.
The teachers and staff are superb. I never felt self conscious in class and felt confident the staff would do their best for me.

I studied at Linguaschools Barcelona for 10 weeks and finished just before Christmas 2020. The year of the pandemic.
Firstly, the building is beautiful, there's a terrace at the front and a roof terrace too for those after class cervezas / nibbles with your international classmates.
The teachers are wonderful and from a mixture of places, which is a great advantage because you get to know the different... I studied at Linguaschools Barcelona for 10 weeks and finished just before Christmas 2020. The year of the pandemic.

I enrolled onto the Intensive 20 course which was from either 9.00 - 13.00 or 9.30 - 13.30. Perfect times as you still have the rest of your day to do whatever you like.
Classes consisted of grammar, conversation, games, audio and the occasional sing song which was always a lot of fun.
The teachers are friendly and fun, the environment is welcoming and the location is perfect too. There really is nothing bad to say about this school.
Throughout the ever changing restrictions of the pandemic, we were all kept well informed and felt safe. After class activities were not possible for most of my time there but alternatives were provided.
I really loved my time at Linguaschools and I am looking forward to returning in the coming months.

No doubt to take the courses from LinguaSchools, cause they have the most creative and motivated teachers you are going to have lessons with.
And of course as a foreigner you would love to have quality time with people around you and the activities that arranged and well planned for you. So which will give you the chance to keep so many good memories and experiences during your education with LinguaSchools and living in... P.S. As a student that had the first half term of 3 months in Madrid, one of my concern about Barcelona was that the city is a Catalan speaking city. So depends on my experiences I would say that generally speaking Catalan in Barcelona is not a big deal while you are learning Spanish with Spanish Speaker Teachers and there are many ways to practise your Spanish by participating to events like "LanguageExchange" that happens in the city. Also public people are very understandable and able to talk to you in Spanish once they understood that you are a foreigner.
