When you walk into the boutique Expanish school at the Rua de Pau Claris, you feel as if you entered the newly refurbished living room of a young and hip couple. There are cosy couches, colourful carpets and cool wallpaper. There are statues and plants everywhere and there are colourful posters hanging on the wall. A wonderful experience to remember for a lifetime long.
Since the first moment of booking my summer intensive Spanish language course online with Expanish Spanish language School, till the last minute this school was simply exceptional.
The booking process was smooth and punctual, they contacted me for the level test to make sure I will be put in the accurate class, they were very helpful and organized through the whole... A wonderful experience to remember for a lifetime long.

My wife and I spent a week in an intermediate level class. Actually less than a week, as we discovered that we had Covid when we arrived in Barcelona from Morocco. Expanish was very welcoming despite our frailties and we really enjoyed our class. Great teacher, nice classmates, excellent facilities in a super location. If I could rate my experience higher, I would. My month at Expanish was excellent! The lessons are very well structured and nicely paced by the knowledgeable teachers. All the teachers were fantastic and extremely patient when answering the mine and other students questions, which was helpful as certain parts were difficult to grasp. Expanish also arranged my accommodation with a host family, this was also a high standard and easily... If I could rate my experience higher, I would. My month at Expanish was excellent! The lessons are very well structured and nicely paced by the knowledgeable teachers. All the teachers were fantastic and extremely patient when answering the mine and other students questions, which was helpful as certain parts were difficult to grasp. I had experienced the wonderful and unforgettable 9 months at Expanish! All of the teachers are lovely, patient and professional while giving the language beginners like me the most efficient and supportive guide! I just followed the courses everyday with happiness and friendship and then, my Spanish is getting better and better unexpectedly! I’d love to recommend this school to all the prospective students! And I really miss the... I had experienced the wonderful and unforgettable 9 months at Expanish! A well organised course from the start with personal interviews to assess level, in our case very easy as we were true beginners. The school was in beautiful old building with classes which were held in light and airy rooms. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. The classes were well structured and with an excellent teacher, who knew how to present the language, it could not have been a better experience! . We were both... I had an amazing experience studying with Expanish. The school does a perfect job placing you in the right class based off a quick evaluation. The teachers were WONDERFUL. I had three different teachers over three weeks and each one was friendly, warm, accommodating, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. I felt comfortable in class and felt it was a manageable pace to keep up with. My experience was fun and very satisfying; I plan on... I had an amazing experience studying with Expanish. Course cancellation policy
Expanish Barcelona cancellation policy

Changes to Enrollment:

  • A €50 administration fee for course changes, €650 for internship placements, and €100 for accommodation changes after initial enrollment confirmation.
  • Changes must be requested at least two weeks prior to the intended change.
  • Postponements within two weeks of the start date are treated as cancellations.
  • Housing changes incur a €100 fee and are subject to availability, with no refunds for price differences.
  • Substituting services (like courses for internships) is not allowed and treated as cancellations.

Medical/Personal Absences:

  • Absences for personal or medical reasons are considered cancellations; lessons will not be postponed or refunded unless supported by an official medical certificate.

Course Cancellations:

  • Full refund (minus non-refundable fees) for cancellations made 14 days or more before the program start.
  • Cancellations less than 14 days before start date incur a fee equivalent to one week of tuition plus non-refundable charges.
  • No refund for cancellations on or after the start date.

Course Cancellations With Student Visa:

  • Cancellation requires returning the original certificate of studies and a signed cancellation intent document.
  • With an official visa denial, refunds are processed as follows:
  • More than 15 days before start: full course value minus €250 cancellation fee.
  • 15 days or less before start: full course value minus 25% of total amount paid.
  • No refunds for cancellations on or after the start date, regardless of the student's arrival in Spain.
  • No refund without an official visa denial document.
  • Courier fees are always non-refundable.

  • Cancellations 14 days or more before the program start: Refund minus a cancellation fee equivalent to one week of housing.
  • Cancellations 13 days or less before the start: No refunds.

Non-Expanish Accommodation:

  • Independent accommodations such as student residences, hostels, hotels, and private apartments have their own cancellation policies.
  • Expanish will provide the specific booking terms and cancellation policies upon booking confirmation.
