Spanish lessons here start in the Realejo district, a short walk from Granada's historic centre. iNMSOL is a small school with classes of up to 10 students and a weekly programme of cultural activities.
It has been an Instituto Cervantes accredited centre since 2002, and its teachers are all native Spanish speakers.
This small Realejo school suits you if you want personal attention and a relaxed, boutique atmosphere. If you prefer a large campus with a big-school feel, another school will serve you better.
Start with the students. Start date, trip length and language level are set per student next.

One of the calmer months. A good fit if you like a relaxed school where it is easy to get to know your teachers and the people around you.
Busyness describes how full the school is, not class size or who you will study with.

The programme includes guided city walks through Granada, cultural workshops and tapas tours. It runs five activities a week, and most are free, including the walking tour, workshops, debate club and conversation table. Weekend trips to nearby Andalusian destinations are also on offer, along with grammar tutorials on the trickier points of Spanish. An activity takes place when at least three students sign up.
City walking tour
Join a guided walk through Granada with other students, one of the free activities in the weekly programme.
Conversation table
Practise your Spanish in relaxed, guided conversation at the free conversation table.
Debate club

Tapas tastings and dinners

Lessons are taught entirely in Spanish, using a direct, situational and communicative method. Groups hold a maximum of 10 students, with an average of 6. Each teaching hour lasts 45 minutes, and grammar and conversation/vocabulary blocks each run as two consecutive lessons (90 minutes). Classes run Monday to Friday between 9:00 and 18:00, in the morning or the afternoon. Group courses can start at 9:00, 11:00, 12:45, 14:30 or 16:30, and the school sets your timetable. Your level is checked with an online placement form before you arrive and again when classes begin, so you join the right group.
Every teacher is a native speaker with a university degree and a teaching qualification.
The student community is largely European, with Italians forming the biggest group and a steady mix of other nationalities alongside them. Most students travel solo. The age mix shifts through the year, with a younger crowd in summer and an older one off-season. Students get to know each other through the weekly activity programme, which ranges from walking tours to the conversation table and debate club, and through the free cultural workshops. Before you arrive, you can register online and receive a welcome folder with a Granada map and the weekly activity plan, so you know what is on from the start. These are the activities where most students end up talking to one another.
Noticeably more women than men in most classes.

Staff are on hand throughout school hours, and an emergency contact covers the time outside them. If you need a doctor, the school explains which procedure applies to you (it depends on whether you are European or not), when the public health system covers you, and where the closest hospital and doctors are.On arrival you receive a list of emergency numbers. The school also gives guidance on local cultural norms and things to avoid.
When an emergency happens, the school typically responds in under 5 minutes.
About 30% of staff are trained in first aid, and a trained member is scheduled every day.
There have been no serious incidents at the school in the past two years.
