A very good school with proper education in Spanish at different levels and experienced and nice, skilled teachers. Also a lot of fun outings! Will certainly return and can recommend this school to everyone interested in learning Spanish and about Spain!🇪🇸

I have attended SIC twice --once in the summer and once in the winter. I highly recommend the school to professionals like myself who wish to improve their ability to communicate in Spanish at work. The focus on expressive communication in the Spanish Intensive course was exactly what I needed to become a functional Spanish speaker during a summer of study. My classes have been small and very personalised. All of my professors have been excellent, and their varying backgrounds have added to the richness of the conversations in class and the cultural experiences outside of school. I have studied with Juanma, Lolo, Paloma, Concha, and Borja. They were very kind, and they made everyone feel at home so we could all have fun together. It was convenient that the school arranged tours in the city with a local archeologist and historian on staff, and outings to nearby places of interest such as the Pueblos Blancos. The setting in Cádiz is perfect for speaking Spanish outside of class, since there are fewer people speaking English in Cádiz than in the larger cities of Málaga and Sevilla. The flamenco dance classes which the school arranged were not only enjoyable for the artistic aspect, but were a lovely way to meet friends and work on Spanish comprehension. Multiple beaches were easily accessible for swimming in the summer. They had a cooling Atlantic breeze to offer a break from the heat. The new residence has beautiful 19th Century architectural details, yet large, modern rooms with bathrooms in them, and a large new kitchen with a laundry area. In the winter we caught the scent of the ripe oranges being harvested in front of our building and saw a bit of the ocean from our balcony.The residence is convenient to everything a person needs, and to the school. Good restaurants, bars and coffee shops are a stone's throw from the front door. I will be returning to SIC the next chance that I have.

Two of my children attended classes at 'Spanish in Cadiz' while we were on holiday in the region. While they found the classes tricky, both have returned to school much better versed in the language and ready for the academic year ahead. A great way to learn the language!

Spanish in Cádiz offers an excellent combination of study and fun, both in classes and many enjoyable activities afterwards. Everything is perfect – the location (next both to the old town and to the beach), the school building itself (a charming villa), and, most importantly, the teachers – professional and experienced, taking part in numerous social and cultural activities after classes, and making your study almost effortless.

If you wish to combine study and holiday, and make unprecedented progress in your Spanish, don’t hesitate. Spanish in Cádiz is the best.

In 2024 I spent 4 weeks in Spanish language schools in four different cities and Spanish in Cadiz delivered the best experience. I attended two weeks in their competitor schools and at the end I was happy that I had decided to try a different school in Cadiz. In that lovely schoolhouse Paloma, Borja and Lolo helped me to improve my Spanish, they knew what they were doing and apart from grammar and conversation I also learned super interesting historical facts about Cadiz and Andalusia. I was lucky having had Paloma teaching me grammar, I think she truly is a teacher with capital T.

I spent seven weeks taking classes in six different Spanish cities last summer. If you don't want to be bound to learning by a traditional syndicated textbook like Aula, then you will prefer SIC. The costs are reasonable, the staff seems cohesive, and the directors have decades of experience. I attended for two weeks and stayed with a family for one and the student residence for the other. I really enjoyed both!!

I have been studying Spanish for years but never had confidence speaking. After three weeks at Spanish in cadiz, I was more confident than I have ever been. The teachers are the best I've ever had, the variety of teaching methodologies are fantastic. If you are looking for an authentic experience where you will become part of an amazing community, this is the place for you.

This school was where I started learning Spanish and in a very short time I reached A2 from zero, with what everyone was super surprised. The teachers and the way of teaching were amazing! And the after-school activities that Alejandro and his team organized were super useful to practice what we had learned☺️☺️

I stayed in Cadiz for a month in the start of 2024, and it was one of the best experiences I've had! The school was great, the teachers and other students were great, the surfing was great, and the school housing was great! I would recommend it to everyone who is even remotely interested in learning spanish, and the possible add-ons (surfing, flamenco dance, or flamenco guitar) were well organized as well. To top it off the price was relatively affordable for the overall quality of the experience you got!

Cadiz in itself was also a lovely city, and the small size made it easy to get to know!

Fabulous. Whether you are in a small group of two with a disinterested fellow student - as I was for my first of three weeks - or in a larger group of about 8, the standard is high. During my three weeks in Cadiz I worked with three teachers - one of whom was with me for the whole three weeks and had the patience of a saint. They were all great. Each had a slightly different style and approach, but what really seemed to me to motivate them is interacting with students who really want to learn. If they can see you’re keen, they’ll go the extra mile.

Very pleasant social interactions, and trips hither and thither are available for those who want it too.

I was in Cadiz in May this year and they helped me to crack the past tenses to the point that they come naturally now - more or less. I just came back today from a week elsewhere in Spain and am thrilled at how much better my Spanish was on this trip. Duolingo is great at making me do a bit every day, but you can’t beat face to face tuition. Cadiz is a beautiful place and I think this school can’t be beat. Am planning to return next spring if they’ll have me.

I took Spanish intensive courses here last year and came back again for more weeks, as I was highly impressed by the quality of studies. Excellent methodology, professional and nice teachers, efficient organization. I've progressed significantly and will come back here again for sure.

Good natured staff with excellent administration. For me Manuel (aka 'Lolo') stood out as a well developed classroom teacher, with his exemplary organisation (and evident preparation) of pair and group work in conversation class. These group lessons were characterized by high quality spoken fluency or freer language practice opportunities. The frequent deployment of Manuel's well planned activities made it immediately clear we were making better use of classroom time than that afforded by teacher supported plenary discussion (where only one person in the class speaks at one time). Manuel also used plenary mode at appropriate times, along with his attentive monitoring and feedback. Another instructor served me very well in one to one lessons. Nice garden in front of the building. Well hosted tapa nites. If you're planning a short stint and you're low level, make sure you get to go along on one of Emma's graded-Spanish city tours.

I unhesitatingly recommend Spanish in Cadiz, particularly for beginners like me. I went from speaking no Spanish at all to a basic but confident conversational standard which I am continuing to build on. Classes are small and the teachers take a personal interest in your progress; it is hard work, but also highly enjoyable and interesting - and a great location near the centre of the old city. I loved my time here and will be back to progress to the next level.

We had a fantastic time learning Spanish at Spanish in Cadiz and I can't recommend it highly enough - really friendly teachers, a good pace of learning, and small class sizes with lots of individualised attention. We have attended twice this year and are planning a third trip.

I love SIC. I have studied at the school three times since 2022. And I will be back! Teachers are great - they understand have to inspire and make progress. I like and benefit from the focus on both grammar and corversation. All spiced up with laugh and humor. It is also an advantage that students come in all ages from all over the world. It gives SIC a special and giving energy. On top of this Cadiz is a wonderfull and authentic city with great restaurants, wonderfull plazas, beaches with clear water and the worlds most beautiful sunsets.

I cannot speak highly enough of Spanish in cadiz, and in particular my teacher Lolo.

When I started I had zero Spanish, by the time I finished I could comfortably and confidently converse with people in Cadiz.

I had one-on-one classes with Lolo (for 1 hour a day), and I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. The thought of trying to speak Spanish for 1 hour straight could be quite daunting (at the start), but Lolo made it so enjoyable, and I can honestly say I looked forward to going to class everyday.

Lolo structured the week so I had a good balance, between grammar, vocabulary and conversation. Lolo is very intuitive, and could read my energy levels, so would often bring learning games into the mix to bring my energy levels up.

If you want to learn Spanish fast, in a really enjoyable environment, go to Spanish in Cadiz.

When I go back to Cadiz, I will definitely be going back.

I have spent 1 month at this school studying Spanish for my job. I loved the friendly athmosphere, the building, the surroundings and the motivated team. I went there in January - careful it may get cold sometime so take a sweater. There is cafe nearby and they have a coffee machine on site.

I went for a one week course at this school at the end of May 2024, and booked the course quite last minute. I did a group conversation class and an individual class which was focussed on practicing grammar and applying grammatical concepts in conversation. My teachers were Manuel (Lolo), Concha and Carmen. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the classes and found them to be highly informative, creative and original. I will definitely go back to the school in the future, and would recommend it to anyone interested in improving their understanding of Spanish.

This is a brilliant Spanish school in an amazing city! I’ve studied at the school twice and I would go back again and again because the teaching is excellent but it’s also a fun and relaxed environment. I’ve been to 5 or 6 different Spanish schools and this is the best one by far - I can’t recommend it highly enough!

The school:

The school is located just outside the old city walls of Cadiz, a short walk from most parts of the old town. You can choose how many hours you want to study and Alejandro and the team are very accommodating to your needs. The lessons themselves are engaging and the professors are all very professional, passionate and know so so much about their language. They all have a good sense of humor as well especially Alejandro the owner of the school!

The city:

Such a cool city. Cadiz is basically on an island connected to the mainland by two bridges and a sand bank. The city has an old part that is full of narrow streets, old churches and squares full of trees. It’s a beautiful city and there are a few very nice beaches where you can learn to surf or just relax. The food in Cadiz is also some of the best and cheapest food I’ve had in Europe.

SIC is a really good school who make everyone welcome & you become a friend. They have great teaching staff and link this with external events to help you learn about Spain as well as the language.

I can't recommend this school enough. Excellent teachers and extremely well run. An added bonus is that it's in a beautiful part of the world.

Spanish in Cadiz is a wonderful language school with great teachers and great facilities! I gained a lot of knowledge from the four weeks I spent in the Spanish Combi Course. The teachers are patient, kind, creative, and funny. Your level of Spanish is taken into consideration when they explain terminology and concepts, and they only transition to English if you are still having trouble. The size of the classes ranged from 3–6 people, not too small and not too big. You will learn grammar and communication from different teachers, allowing you to become used to various ways of speaking. There are many social events to go to meet other students from different classes and to get to know the city. I would suggest this school to anyone looking to learn Spanish while having a blast.

My 2 kids had 2 fabulous experiences in Cadiz in July 2022 & again in July 2023! We would like to call out Alejandro in particular for all of his help & guidance, the kids love him & they managed to improve their Spanish too and gained life experience being away without their family. We will definitely be back again! 😊

I definitely recommend this school. I spent a week in Cádiz and I had a blast. The teachers were very professional, highly qualified and very friendly. The school is located in a cosy building in a quiet neighbourhood. I learned a lot while feeling like I was on vacation. It truly was a very nice experience.

So much fun. My friends and I went in 4th and 5th year summer and had such a great time. The teachers are lovely (especially Alejandro) and they use really interactive ways of learning. The activities during the week like paddle surfing and cycling were also a great experience. Would recommend 👍

I would highly recommend the college. As an outcome I learnt a lot of Spanish. The classes were small and we were all of the same or similar ability. The teachers were excellent and responded to the students needs and requests. The classes were very enjoyable and I was extremely sad when my course ended.

The administration and management were very efficient and everything was well organised. In addition to the course there were activities every day and evenings. In addition students also organised activities and everyone was welcome and invited.

Cadiz is an amazing place and I cannot wait until I return.

It was a memorable experience. I hope to bring students in the near future. The staff were welcoming and professional. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Thank you for an amazing 6 weeks! Louis did a great job placing me in an appropriate class, where I was challenged just the right amount. Alejandro was super friendly and helpful from day 1 of emailing to our goodbye. He went above and beyond to make me feel at ease both in class and in the school accommodation. My grammar teacher Paloma was patient, friendly, caring and an expert in grammar. I will miss our chats. Borja was my history/cultural guru! I learned lots of interesting things from this genius. Concha, one of my favourite teachers held AMAZING conversation classes. She managed every class skilfully, implemented clever techniques for differentiation, and allowed everyone to speak equally. Juanma, Willy and Carmen also made sure I was having a pleasant time during break times and outside of school. Thank you for all the tips! My experience would have been even better if the school organised salsa / bachata classes as several of us were interested. Also, the B2/ C1 grammar book is not a great resource. Thank you all.

The school is probably the best language school I have attended. Had three different teachers and they were all very professional and fun. Time flied during the lessons! Alessandro and all the staff were very welcoming. We students (from 18 to 70 years old) formed a nice international group and passed also some free time together. Would have liked to stay longer!

Have been attending lessons in a small group of international students for 2 weeks whilst staying in the inexpensive, shared accommodation in the centre of the Old City. I have enjoyed the flat 2km walk along the coast from the accommodation to the school. Lessons are fun, well organised and coordinated. A great team of professional teachers. Central accommodation has been great for my first visit to Cádiz

Very happy with my experience with SIC Cádiz. I went there on my own, a bit scared, without knowing the city or anyone. However, as soon as I arrived I felt welcomed and met amazing people (housemates in the residence and school staff). The staff is very professional, I felt I learnt a lot in only 1 week and for sure I will be back - I will keep doing lessons online while I am away. The teachers Carmen and Concha were super, always taught with passion and a bit of humour (learning with a laugh and sense of humour is always better!). Thanks also to Alejandra for being very detailed in each communication and super fast in replying to any email or concerns I had. See you soon :)

Attended SIC for 2 weeks in July. I had just finished B1+ level doing private classes once a week here in Ireland so attended B2 class there. Fantastic school. My level of grammar is much higher than my conversational spanish(my spoken level was probably A2/B1 before going to the school) as I never get a chance to use it here in Ireland. If you want to improve your spoken Spanish this is the place. For the entire 2 weeks I spoke only Spanish with my classmates(even outside of class) and also at home with my wonderful host "Charo"(who looked after me like a son!) . After 2 weeks I was able to speak fluently enough that it actually felt strange speaking English again when I went back home.

Activities are great and Cadiz is one of the coolest places you will ever visit.
