For every lover of French and Italian culture, Nice offers the perfect mix in the southeastern part of France. The city was influenced from the east by the Italian Piemonte and Liguria, from the north by the French Savoie and from the south by Sardinia. It is only since 1860 that the city really belongs to France, but culturally it always held a foot in Italy. You can feel this everywhere in the city, in the ocher-colored houses with high shutters in Vieux Nice, in the fresh pasta that is served at almost every corner of the street and even in the soccer-cheer 'Issa Nissa!' (Go Nice!), which is often cheered in the Nice dialect that actually sounds as French as Italian.
With its mix of an urban vibe, old-fashioned opulence, year-round sunshine, a lively street life and a beautiful seaside location, no place in France can be compared to Nice. A language course in Nice promises to be a sunny Mediterranean trip in which the Niçoi people can teach you how to enjoy life to the fullest.
