About the school

The large language school Brighton Language College is located on a lively street in a classic English building overlooking the large park Royal Pavilion. With its 37 classrooms, the school is one of the larger schools and therefore offers plenty of opportunities to get to know a lot of new people. The location right in the center, opposite the green park and 10 minutes walk from the beach makes it easy for students to discover all that Brighton has to offer after the language classes. Speaking of discovering, the school will gladly help you on the basis of the many excursions and activities that are organized. With the recent renovation, BLC created a super modern and stylish interior, and that makes studying in the school very pleasant. The school is part of English UK, an accreditation organization that guarantees the quality of the lessons.

Brighton

A hippie-like culture, bohemian vibe, exuberant beach parties and the best clubs of the English coastline: welcome to Brighton. The most colorful and extravagant seaside resort in England. Brighton is the place where the English coast is not only cold but also cool. This medium-sized city with 290,000 inhabitants has many faces: chic boutique hotels are located next to urban hostels and fancy cocktail bars stand next to pubs with local beers. As a language student there is always something to do after your language lessons. Do you like outside sports? Then Brighton is a your destination: the coast is perfect for water sports such as sailing and kite surfing and you can enjoy running, walking and cycling in the green surroundings . Although the famous pebble beaches of Brighton are now full of souvenir shops, it remains a culturally lively destination with the highlight being the popular Brighton Festival that takes place every spring.

I really liked the teachers and lessons there, but the organisation of the school is very chaotic. I left during the Coronavirus Pandemic and they promised the money for my homestay would be refunded. But after writing four e-mails to them and no reply at all, I gave up.

I came from Paris with my daughter in August to this school. I have choosen this school thanks to good reviews that I saw on internet. We had an excellent service. The lessons for my kid were very helpful, she started to speak in English. The accommodation provided by the school was excellent. We had a great and helpful staff at school. The location of the school is just 2 min walking from the sea, in the center of the city. I recommend this school because it is efficient. We already booked for the next year.

My 14 year old nephew spent two weeks in Brighton attending the school last summer. He had such a blast. I can’t believe how many activities are available. He was basically always out, busy either with English classes or with organised fun, including a day trip to London. They really went above and beyond expectations and I found it great value for money. His English improved, but most importantly he gained a lot of confidence, having to navigate the town by himself and making lots of friends from different countries. We didn’t use their accommodation services, so I can’t speak to that.
He’ll hopefully go back next year.
