About the school

Language school LILA was founded in Liverpool in 2004 as an independent English academy by the two sisters Leanne Linacre and Victoria Lee. Leanne and Victoria found that there was a need for more quality schools in the north of England and Liverpool was the perfect choice. LILA is an innovative language school in the city center of Liverpool. It is a medium-sized school with a familiar atmosphere and the quality of education is key. The lessons are accredited by, among others, the British Council. The school is located in a modern building in a bustling street. You only have to step out the door to find cafes and restaurants. The interior of the school is practical and modern and the classrooms are bright thanks to the many windows. Also nice to know: the school organizes weekly social activities where students can practice the English language in an informal way.

Liverpool

There’s always something to do in Liverpool. The city, located in the west of Great Britain, has so much to offer: countless events and attractions, the world-class Liverpool Football Club, and the musical heritage that gave us the Beatles. With the second largest collection of museums and galleries in the whole of England (after London), culture is ever-present here. The city’s atmosphere is complex; while it has been plagued by social issues for decades, it’s also been an industrial and commercial epicenter, and the love Liverpoolians feel for their city is nearly palpable. Liverpool is an amazing place to learn English if you want to get a chance to explore this vibrant and exciting city.
