The reason I gave 5 stars is to make how bad it is stand out.

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding the Quality of Education Provided

To the Administration of LSI Cambridge language School,

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the 9-week English language course I attended at your institution.

I enrolled in this program with the expectation of starting from a beginner level. However, despite this, I was placed in a class that was significantly above my proficiency level and was required to continue from where other students had left off. As a result, I was unable to benefit from the lessons. I was not provided with learning materials or textbooks suitable for my level, nor was I given regular homework assignments. Unfortunately, under these circumstances, the entire 9-week period was unproductive for me.

Furthermore, I found the level of academic support from the teaching staff to be insufficient. When I informed the teachers that I did not understand the lessons, instead of receiving assistance, I was met with negative reactions and was repeatedly told to “focus,” rather than being helped to comprehend the material.

During my time at the school, I also experienced unprofessional and discriminatory behavior from a teacher named Fidela, who is Filipino. Female students who arrived late were not allowed to enter the classroom, while male students in the same situation were allowed in. Additionally, despite clearly expressing my lack of understanding, this teacher did not make an effort to explain the lesson and instead responded with anger. Due to this, I was unable to benefit from my classes, and this situation was acknowledged by other students as well.

I chose to study in England with the intention of learning English from native English speakers. However, I was assigned a Filipino teacher named Fidela, which did not meet my expectations for an international language institution.

In order to attend this course and pay the tuition fees, I made significant financial sacrifices in my home country. Unfortunately, at the end of the program, I did not achieve the expected improvement in my English proficiency. Both my time and financial resources were wasted, and I returned to my country without a measurable increase in my language level.

This outcome caused me significant emotional distress and placed me in a difficult position in front of my family. More importantly, this situation has negatively affected my future and professional career. As I am preparing to begin my working life, insufficient English proficiency may prevent me from participating in the recruitment examinations of airline companies, for which an adequate level of English is essential.

Additionally, while friends and acquaintances have sought my advice regarding language schools, I regret to state that I am unable to recommend your institution. During the same period, friends of mine who attended other language schools returned to their countries with a satisfactory level of English improvement, unlike my experience.

I kindly request that this matter be reviewed seriously and that I be informed of any possible resolutions or actions your institution intends to take regarding this issue.

I studied at LSI for four weeks, and the entire experience was absolutely incredible. I stayed with a host family who offered me a cozy, comfortable room, delicious meals, and a warm environment where I truly felt like part of the family.

At school, the classes were excellent. The teachers were extremely patient and willing to explain things as many times as needed. They always used different activities and dynamics to make the lessons engaging and never monotonous. The staff members were attentive, responsible, and genuinely friendly.

I made many friends there and always felt comfortable expressing myself. I was constantly encouraged to share my thoughts and consider different points of view. My English improved a lot thanks to the quality of the lessons at LSI. The learning materials followed a weekly plan with new topics, which helped me expand my vocabulary in a very effective way.

Without a doubt, I was very happy at LSI. I would choose the same exchange experience a million times again! I miss the time I spent there sooooooo much!

I studied at LSI Cambridge for three weeks during my sabbatical year as a teacher, and it was a truly wonderful and meaningful experience. The classes were small, just eight students from all over the world, and we covered speaking, writing, reading and grammar in a friendly and positive atmosphere.

The teachers were excellent, always attentive and encouraging, and created a really effective learning environment. The whole school team also deserves a compliment - they were kind, approachable and always ready to help with any problem or request.

Most of my classmates were in their twenties, much younger than me, yet they brought great energy and optimism to the classroom. I genuinely looked forward to coming to lessons every morning. Highly recommended!

My days at the school were quite nice. The teachers and the staff were so attentive and I improved my English a lot. Truly recommend it!

It was a lovely and useful experience. Everyone at LSI was welcoming and helping whenever we had a problem. I would recommend it if you would like to improve your skills and have fun in a different culture.

I felt comfortable from the moment I arrived, Ali was so nice, kind and answered all our questions. The teachers and the staff are professional and they keep on a good atmosphere in the classes. I will definitely recommend my friends about this school!

I really had a great time at LSI even if only for two weeks. Which passed far too quickly. The school is small but very nice. All the teachers are very friendly and focused on everyone individually. We were sometimes 6 and sometimes 9 students in a class, so it was perfect to improve your English. I was more than lucky with my host family, they are a family where I felt at home.

I will definitely come back and visit everyone, my 2nd family but also LSI in Cambridge. Thank you for a great time at school, with the family and also in Cambridge. Best experience of my life ! I stayed 2 months in cambridge everything was great !

The organization to come there was perfect ! In the school teachers are amazing very friendly with a good mood and lots of ideas to learn english !

I took the afternoon lesson in order to pass my IELTS exam and I succeeded with my score!

I lived in the LSI residence where i met great people, it was a pleasure to share the house with them.

The city is very cute and we can find everything approximation of the school ! Shops, pub, monuments, and lots of public transportation like a bus.

So, if you want having fun, learning english, meet amazing people of all over the world I recommend this place at 100%
