Salamanca is also known as the golden city. The whole of the historic centre is like a massive monument, built with golden yellow sandstone. The rich history of the city and its preservation makes the Middle Ages almost tangible here. Salamanca is home to one of the oldest universities in Europe; in the historic centre, you will find Romanesque, Gothic and Moorish monuments, all testaments to the city’s rich history. Salamanca is also one of the most famous student cities in Spain, which gives the city a fun, young and vibrant atmosphere – it’s brimming with tapas bars, clubs and fun sights.

The classes are amazing even in times of Corona. The groups are considerably small, which creates a great environment for discussions and gives everyone time to speak. We learn many sayings and idioms, which very often cross our ways outside class. It’s a very familial environment, with the teachers being very close to the students and helping a lot even with problems outside of school as well. I am very happy to study here and I couldn’t have imagined a better place to do so, even in times of Corona. Un saludo! |

I really loved learning Spanish at this place! I came there with no Spanish background and only 11 weeks after, I reached level B1/B2! Amazing, isn't it? |

I spent 1 months at Colegio de Espana in July 2017. I loved it so much that I came back for 6 months in January 2018 until the end of June. The professors there do everything possible to make you feel welcome, comfortable, and loved. The staff of the colegio are truly like family to me and people I will never forget, and in fact, plan to revisit in the future. I couldn't have imagined spending my semester abroad in any other city or in any other school. I owe the colegio for all my success with the Spanish language. I also did a host family and my host mom is truly like family to me also. Nothing in life will ever beat the experience I had in Salamanca and at the Colegio. I promise, you won't be disappointed!! |

The Colegio de Espana is a fabulous school which will create memories that last a lifetime for students from all corners of the world. The professors and other staff members truly care about the students' lives, both inside and outside of the classroom. I recently visited the Colegio after 11 years away from Salamanca, and, although there were updates to the facilities and technology, I felt as though time had stood still. Teresa and Yei made me feel as though I had never left...in a word, it felt like home. I would recommend the experience of studying in Colegio de Espana to everyone I know. It is an opportunity to learn a great language and a great culture from great people. |
