About the school

Visiting the unique school Colegio de España makes you feel as if you are stepping back in time. The school is located in a castle-like building from the 17th century in the middle of the historic centre of Salamanca, in one of the most beautiful pedestrian streets of the city. The school has a cosy courtyard, where you can relax and study between classes. Inside, old, romantic Spain can also be found on the walls, floors and ceilings of the school. Because the school is located in the centre of Salamanca, there are plenty of authentic tapas bars, restaurants and shops within walking distance and public transportation is easy to reach. All teachers at Colegio de España are university educated and have had special training in language education. The lessons are accredited by Cervantes and therefore of high quality.

Salamanca

Salamanca is also known as the golden city. The whole of the historic centre is like a massive monument, built with golden yellow sandstone. The rich history of the city and its preservation makes the Middle Ages almost tangible here. Salamanca is home to one of the oldest universities in Europe; in the historic centre, you will find Romanesque, Gothic and Moorish monuments, all testaments to the city’s rich history. Salamanca is also one of the most famous student cities in Spain, which gives the city a fun, young and vibrant atmosphere – it’s brimming with tapas bars, clubs and fun sights.
