About the school

Ecole Klesse was founded in 1965 and is located in the center of the charming, historical center of Montpellier. In the Rue Castilhon, a narrow street whith a friendly atmosphereand typical French sand colored houses and tiny French balconies. Close to cafes, bars, museums and the cinema. The interior of the school is homely, with colored furniture and walls, many windows and authentic details. It will therefore soon feel like a second home. The language school has good quality lessons that are recognized by the Ministry of Education in France (Qualité FLE) and the German Bildungsurlaub. The school is also an official examination center for these labels. Because there are lots of activities and tours organized, it is easy to get to know your classmates quickly, and to immerse yourself in Southern French life. You can take cooking courses, learn French songs, visit museums, and there crepe partys on a regular basis. Day excursions are organized in the nearby cities: Avignon, Nimes, Marseille, Montpellier, Arles and Carcassonne.

Montpellier

Elegant buildings, large private mansions, stately boulevards, bowery streets and beautiful sandy beaches: that is the stylish metropolis Montpellier. Montpellier is also the fastest growing city in France and one of the most multicultural cities. The historic old town has a medieval character. Go here to wander around between the historical, architectural delights and cozy bistros. Looking for a quiet place to study? The oldest botanical garden in France, the ‘Jardin des plantes’, is located in Montpellier and offers an oasis of peace during busy days of study. More than a third of the population in Montpellier is formed by students and they give a lively atmosphere to the day- and night life here. Because the city directly borders the Mediterranean Sea, you can alternate bustling city activities with relaxed beach days during your language course.
